ARRIVING IN INDIA

You should still be familiar with the layout of the Hindenburg. Talk to Captain Blackwood to get more storyline background. When you're ready to disembark go down to the staircase. Unlike at the start you can go down two levels.

Along the path you find Kate Sullivan locked in a gazebo cage. Speak to her and pay close attention to what she says, as you get an important clue to solving a later puzzle.

Continue along the path, then go down the stone stairs to enter the Palace of Satyavrata. There are numerous objects that have 'hotspots' (some of which you can only interact with later) so you need to look around carefully. Note that after you approach the bookcases to the right of the exit, Captain Blackwood remains there to browse through the books.

FINDING THE GEMSTONES

Go to the metal sculpture of Nataraja. For those who are interested, Nataraja is the dancing posture of the Hindu god Shiva. Shiva's cosmic dance is believed to encompass creation, preservation and destruction. This idea has been embedded in Hindu thought and ritual since the dawn of civilization. The ruby is on Shiva's crown, but in order to remove it you must solve the puzzle in the block below the sculpture. Initially all fifteen rubies are lit. Clicking on a ruby changes its state and certain others around it, alternating between lit and unlit. You need to turn off all fifteen rubies.

There's a pearl embedded in the trunk of the elephant statue, but you can't remove it with your bare hands. Did you spend some time looking round the Hindenburg, or were you in too much of a hurry to get into the palace? In the gas motors area, on the walkway where Lou Garetti was, is a zeppelin knife. You need to use this knife to remove the pearl from the elephant's trunk, so if you didn't bring it with you, go back to the Hindenburg and fetch it.

Look for the wooden chest with a painting of Nataraja (the same Hindu god as depicted in the metal sculpture) on it. You must replicate the arm and leg positions of the metal sculpture on the painting to open the chest, revealing an emerald inside it.

Talk to Captain Blackwood and he offers to tell you more about the gemstones if you show them to him. You must have at least one gemstone to activate this dialog topic. When you show the pearl to him, he gives you the moonstone. His descriptions of the four gemstones are:

Ruby: The jewel of kings that symbolizes power
Pearl: A little teardrop born of pure chance that symbolizes purity
Moonstone: It has a purity that confers peace
Emerald: It holds the secrets of nature and represents the forces of balance

THE BAS-RELIEF

Once you have the four gemstones, you must figure out what to do with them. There are two clues that assist you. When you spoke to Kate at the gazebo cage she said the other half of the bas-relief is most likely hidden in the Great Hall of Glass and that 'the rays of the sun play an important role in finding it'. Also, if you read the book about precious stones on the third shelf of the bookcase behind Nathaniel Blackwood you learn that 'the most beautiful gems reflect light like suns'.

GETTING OUT OF THE SARCOPHAGUS

After being whacked on the head you regain consciousness, trapped in a mummy sarcophagus.

Sudoku addicts will immediately recognize the puzzle format, the only difference being that instead of the digits 1 to 9, nine different symbols are used.

For those unfamiliar with Sudoku, the objective is to fill the 9 x 9 grid so that each column, each row and each of the nine 3 x 3 blocks contains the nine different symbols. Each symbol may not appear more than once in each column, row and each of nine 3 x 3 blocks.

HALL OF TRUTH

The two bas-relief halves are on a pedestal in the Hall of Truth. It takes two people to open the Gate of Truth, so you must find a way to release Kate from the gazebo cage. Remove the trident held by the statue of Ishtar and return to the gazebo cage. Insert the trident into the slot on the mechanism on the floor behind Kate to open the cage.

Did you find the Kama Sutra book on the second bottom shelf of the second bookcase? If you read it then a dialog topic about it is triggered with Kate. Is our hero a bit naive, or does he just have a dry sense of humour?

The sequence in which to push the two bas-relief halves is contained in the book on the top shelf of the bookcase behind where Nathaniel Blackwood was standing.

GROTTO OF REVELATIONS

Examine the fresco on the cave wall and Kate talks about Noah's Ark being the Atlantean relic. Talk to her and she says that the co-ordinates on the fresco point to the relic being in Mesopotamia. She also explains that the Sanskrit text on the fresco is a prophecy about three chosen ones, guided by an old blind man, a dragon and a betrayal followed by a redemption.

Go up the stairs at the far end of the grotto to get back onto the pathway leading to the Hindenburg.

Time to set sail for Mesopotamia...
