Has anyone EVER finished the game I have been hours and hours trying to get past EDFU in Egypt. It is the first town in the 4th level. I dont think it can be done. I get the pieces near the bottom and then I cant get any matching pieces near them to release. It has become really frustrating.Ilooked several places but there is no walkthrough for it I guess because everytime you have to start over the pieces are in different places. Just curious to know if anyone out there smarter at this game than I.

Dutch I've played this game many times and it can be very difficult. You need to save as many of the "tools" at the bottom of the board as you can so that at the last board you can have extra time etc to help you finish the game before you run out of time. Good Luck!

Dutch, there is a way to give yourself more time for the higher levels. That is the only way I know of to finish the game. It is "cheating" but it really is the only way I know of to finish the game - and yes, I did finish the game. These are the instructions given to me. You won't need the extra lives or money - just change your time for the levels. If you need assistance, I am here.
Atlantis Quest Extra lives cheat - Go to Atlantis Quest Folder (in Program Files) & open Options file & change numbers on these files to: CONST_BonusLifeScore 2000 (was 35000) CONST_BonusMoneyScores 50000 (was 15000) (be sure the 1st digit lines up with the rest)
Extra time cheat - Go to Atlantis Quest folder & open Levels file & choose level, then puzzle you want to change (I changed all puzzles within each level). "Time" will be the top line & you can backspace that number & change to a higher number. The figure of 999 was recommended, but I just put 1 in front of the existing number. Midway through Level 3 you will see you need that extra time.
There is a spot where you get an "evil" square and it will end that segment of the game. It will remove all the pieces you previously collected. Just keep playing - it will go to Egypt 2.
So many games, so little time.

I am awed by those who can go in and change the settings on games like is described here. My hats off to raylinstephens for discovering this method of winning a game. I don't consider it cheating at all......you've earned it by being sharp.

Cherie, we have a member here named Sally(MG) who runs a gaming site (Minute Gamer) and she discovered these cheats for us. You can find them in old threads. Ana

Ana, I wasn't taking credit for finding the "cheats" and I didn't find them myself anywhere - I was PM'd them by another GB member.
I am glad that you know who found them, but I wasn't trying to take the credit.
But I have kept them so I can share with other gamers when needed.
So many games, so little time.

I didn't mean to imply you were taking credit, I just wanted to add the author and give credit to the person who spent the time to play with the code and develop the cheat. If you use it to pass along you may wish to acknowledge Sally from the Minute Gamer as a courtesy. Ana
