Hi!

You may have seen my earlier post about the game I've made. (Frasse and the Peas of Kejick.) I'm about to start on a new game, but I'd love to try and do that in the form of a collaboration. Have you ever wanted to design an adventure game? Now's your chance! I'm looking for someone to come up with story and game design (puzzles and stuff) and then I'll do graphics, music, programming and put it all together.

Does that even sound remotely interesting to you? Head on over to my blog for a bit more info:

Someone should sticky this topic on the front page.

It does, doesn't it?

What someone should do is send me a mail saying that they're interested. I've yet to hear from anyone. Maybe there are not that many people around with game making dreams, or maybe it's just that I'm not good enough yet for it to be interesting to collaborate with me. If there won't be a collaboration project, I'll just dig up the notes I have for Frasse's sequel and start work on that properly. (Then I'll probably send out a similar call for collaboration once that game is done.)

The offer is appealing and I do have an idea for a short game lying around in my head (I'm sure others have too).
However, I currently do not have the time to write and design it, nor the experience to know what to do (meaning it will take longer).

Also, I won't mind seeing a sequel for Frasse smile

I did eventually get replies from two different people, so my dream of doing a collaboration may come true. We'll see. Decisions will be made before the end of June. I say "decisions will be made" rather than "I'll make a decision" because while I have to decide if I want to make a game with one of them, they'll also need to be sure that they want to make a game with me!

If someone else is interested, they still have time to send me an e-mail, but they should probably do so within a week.

Turns out that there won't be a collaboration project after all.

An intriguing read on the difficulties of collaboration and fielding volunteers.

I am now picturing you mowing the lawn and playing the tuba. grin

As MaG said, good luck on the Frasse sequel!

Thanks!

I should also inform you that the lawn mower is of the manual variety (I'm spending the summer at my parents', and they have a beautiful garden with plenty of trees, so a motorised mower is just as much work, only louder) and that I tend to sing while doing it.

I have the manual mower too. lol I think about the puzzle I'm stuck on while mowing. Works wonders.
