Yay! I've been waiting for this for so long and come tomorrow, it's going to be in my hot little hands! LOL I'm half-tempted to board my pets, stock up on easy junk food, and just sit at this computer playing Skyrim until my eyeballs fall out! LOL LOL

Thanks Draclvr!! btw---it's Thursday night here, Nov. 10th, 8:45 pm, and I just talked to Gamestop to get more info about Skyrim for tomorrow. Well, they're going to open their doors tonight at midnight to sell it, and I AM SO THERE!!!!! LOL!!! Whoo-hoo!!! Sorry to yell in caps but this is a special occasion! EDIT: Me again. It's almost 6 am and I just had to say that I grabbed a few hours of sleep and have been playing for awhile and OMG....the graphics in this game are just mind-blowing! Until now, the best graphics I've ever seen were in Oblivion, but looking at these....it's like several orders of magnitude better than that even. Just beautiful! The streams are glowing, bubbling, and gorgeous and the people....I could see freckles and individual hairs on this one guy's arms....details like that are just bringing this game truly "to life" for me and I'm astounded by the talent of the people who made this! The thousands of hours they must've put in! sigh.... Anyway, I haven't gotten far yet, but just HAD to jump back in and say I think you guys will be as in awe of Skyrim as I am so far..... Tracy, off to become a Nord again

Tracy, dancing figuratively around the room like a school girl with her goodies in hand..... PS Thanks Drac! And sorry your store didn't have a midnight release Looney--that sucks.

I've just come in off the porch (for another cup of coffee), where I intend to sit until the FedEx guy shows up with my copy, and I'm so envious of those of you who already have it. Besides, it's cold out there.

Probably I won't get mine till Mon or Tues because Amazon initally emailed they are sending it the 14th but yesterday their email said will be sending it sooner. It better be sooner!!! I hope. Feel like camping out by the road next to mailbox. All this over a Game - but what a game. Consider what es 6 will be.

Hi again guys. I was up early this morning and ended up editing the wrong post! So for a teeny, tiny glimpse of my Skyrim experience, peek at one of the posts above. Thanks! More to come later but for now, OMG! PS I wish I could play Santa and come flying by all of your houses with a copy right now. Tracy

Yankee, are you getting the PC or PS3 version? I haven't decided because for action games I am much better with the controller but I don't know if it would make much difference in this game.

Have any of you playing Skyrim on the pc encountered any problems? I'm asking because Eric Schwarz from GamaSutra wrote this piece on his blog: http://www.gamasutra.com/blogs/EricSchwarz/20111111/8866/Skyrim_or_How_Not_to_Make_a_PC_Game.phpabout how he found the pc user interface nearly not being there. He later added an edit saying that since Bethesda did patch the game to version 1.1 he at least in part had to take some of his complaints about the user interface for pc - for this game.

Hi mcc!! Both my son and I are getting the play station game because I prefer consoles for gaming to a desktop. That's a good question, mcc - is the mouse better for sneaking around if you are an assassin? When the Razer laptop is here I just might get the PC game too. Can't decide either on a handsom warrior or a Kajiit.
last night my son called and he just got the collectors guide. Over 600 pages and with ribbon book marks and maps andandand. And a leather cover. I'm so jealous - I just getting the plebian one
Amazon has sent Skyrim and guide

I may install Oblivion again (in a PC) to check the controls and to remember the game, as I mentioned before I maybe one of the very few people who like the game but to a point, I never found it WOW... possibly because at that time I was not much of a Darksider. If I have doubts I'll buy it for PS3 when is available pre-owed. Gamestop has a guaranty on pre-owed games - if one doesn't like it can be returned before a week for a full refund. This doesn't normally happen but I did that with Shadows of the Damned.
I like FPS but also I love The Whitcher I and II, ME I and II.

Hi Karsten. Just wanted to say that so far, so good. I'm on the PC with mine and it's been running great so far, knock on wood. I do wonder about one thing though---someone else posted about Steam being hacked, and even though you use a disc and stuff for Skyrim, you end up actually playing it through Steam. That could cause problems if there is a virus or something on it. Tracy

Thanks, Looney! Fortunately I didn't have to wait all day. Can't say I've had a very happy time with the game yet, but I'm off to give it another try.

Oh, wow! Yesterday's problems have disappeared, and I'm now wandering happily through vast northern lands. Very different from Oblivion, and very beautiful. Hope you are all having fun!
