Yes.....as Timo says, if I go back to where one of Ethan's notes are, and read it again, it seems to trigger an auto-save for me. So at least, then, you won't have to redo what you have already done.

They are all around in the different scenes. You could look at a walkthrough to find out where they all are.

I am about halfway through the game and am loving it. The new (#3) patch helped a bit with this save mess. Players who are worried should know that some of the scenes are very short and the times between saves isn't that large of a problem. Indeed I just finished one scene where there was less that ten minutes between saves (And I am NOT very bright or very fast with these games.)
If all the people were heroes, there would be no one to watch the parades.

This was a great game. Loved it!  Took me over 9 hours to finish it, but i did a lot of looking around, enjoying the scenery. I didn't care much for the save system, just took a little time to get use to it. When I had to leave the game, it didn't take long to get back to where I stopped playing. The first time was the longest. I wasn't sure what I was doing then!  Thanks Kay
