Hi all, wave

Well the game is finished and here is my opinion on the subject. smile

This game reminded me a lot of Baldur Gate or
Ice Wind Dale type games.
I did enjoy those games so I was not surprised
that this one was not bad to play.

The only thing I didn't like about the game was
that it took a long time to get through the
battles, especially later on when you get
something like at least 15 or so enemy attacking
you at the same time.

Since this game didn't have a chioce of easy or
medium or hard, I did use the character editor to
make my characters stronger to have a better chance
of surviving the battles.
I gave each one at least 900 hit points and it was
just as good as God Mode...beleive me.
I noticed that you don't get as much misses if you
do this as you would without it.

I did however come across some places that crashed to the desktop but I think maybe I tried to move the caracters to fast and caused this to happen or the virus program which I kept forgetting to Exit may have had something
to do with it crashing.

As I reloaded and played the same area again it didn't happen again.

I liked the graphics and the ending gave me satifaction of winning smile

I use Windows 98 and the game ran just fine with it.

I will enjoy playing this game over and over.

VHLMagic,

Glad to see another review of an RPG game on the review forum. We have so many people who enjoy them and scarce reviews. I must admit - other than watching on as my son plays the fight sequences of Final Fantasy games - I have limited exposure to this part of the games. I step in and do the running around - dialogue portions. laugh

Still there was baby turn based fighting in Largo WInch and I really had fun with it - so I may have to wrench the comtroller away from Matt and try my hand at some more serious fighting sessions.

Pool of Radiance sounds interesting. If you had to consider Balder's Gate or some of the others vs Pool of Radiance for a newbie - which would you pick? I like the idea that I can edit the files (like in Outcast) and give yourself greater in game strength and force.

Laura

Hi Laura,

I beleive that Baulder Gate, Ice Wind Dale or Pool of Radiance are pretty much the same as far as combat or equiptment or magic goes.

I don't remember if Baulder Gate or Ice Wind Dale had this option but in Pool of Radiance, you can set your turn to be longer in deciding what you want to do.
You have magic options or combat options on a menu if you right click on each persons turn.

This game has a lot less bugs (very little)as I played it than Morrowind which I am now playing frown
