“AGON: The Lost Sword Of Toledo“ -- the sequel to "AGON: The Mysterious Codex" -- will be published by Kalypso Media Ltd in the UK on 22nd February 2008.

Quote:
Professor Samuel Hunt finds himself in the middle of another adventure in the latest episode of the Agon series. This time set in the peaceful and picturesque Spanish city of Toledo the British Professor will have to uncover many secrets that have been taken to the grave if he is to unravel the mystery and discover the location of the historical sword.

A mysterious music box, an iron door in the church that has not been opened for a hundred years, an unfinished painting, some strange letters and of course the fourth manuscript from the John Gillam Codex are found. But will the Lost Sword of Toledo be found?

Thanks for the update, Becky. Have had mine on order from Lexicon (the original publishers) They don't answer their emails. Hope they are still in business as I have already paid. :valentines:

Oops. Lexicon isn't publishing the game any more. And they don't answer their emails? ARGHGHGHGHGH! Is there a phone number you can call listed on their site? Have they definitely already charged your credit card?

Is there any word whether the game will eventually be distributed in the US? With the current exchange rates, it would cost me about $50 (US), which is more than I'm willing to spend. I've been eagerly awaiting this game since 2005 when I worked in Spain. I was lucky enough to visit Toledo on several occasions, and spent many pleasurable hours wandering its narrow, twisting medieval streets.

Veggie,

We have no news yet. Let's wait for verifications from the developers.
I agree Toledo is a beautiful, unique city.

I've really enjoyed the series so far, let's hope #4 will be just as good as the others. One more week and we'll find out, eh. smile

I'm glad to see they're finally releasing it somewhere.
They had a long wait between episodes.
This one should be good.

I'm anxiously awaiting it's release in the USA! I bought the first 3 eps from Amazon which sells them as 3 in 1 deal and really enjoyed them. It wasn't too long ago I played them, so they are still pretty fresh in my mind.

Patricia -- I haven't seen a U.S. publisher announced for the game yet, unfortunately. frown

$50 for a game is pretty steep for me. I, too, have been looking forward to this game. Hope it's as good as the first three.

Hi, I just found out that gamers in the US who are interested in Agon: The Lost Sword of Toledo can download it from Gamer's Gate (http://www.gamersgate.com) for $29. I plan to download it in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, I'd really appreciate it if some of the UK fans could post a (brief) review of your likes / dislikes about the game. So far, I've only seen one very negative review at HEXUS Gaming (http://gaming.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=11894)

Thanks!

I downloaded it from gamersgate.com/ So far so good! Does anyone know if there's a walkthrough for it?

Hi all,

Finally, it seems our 1st Toledo premier is taking place now in the UK - Germany will follow shortly as well, and we have our fingers crossed for a soon to be realised US release. Also, the 1st reviews have arrived, in case you are interested, you can read more about Toledo on the following review pages:

I just noticed on GoGamer that they are taking preorders for the game (the import version) and that they are supposed to be getting it on Friday. wave

Agon team, thanks for the links. I'm glad to hear that negotiations may be at hand for a North American distributor; I've waited three years for Agon: The Lost Sword of Toledo (I found out about it while I was living in Spain), so another few months waiting for a hard copy rather than a digital download would be worth it to me.

Marian; thanks for the heads up on the import version at GoGamer.

And Melia, any thoughts about the game since you've started playing? I haven't seen a full walkthrough, but there are some solutions in a thread called "Agon 4."
