Hi Trinny3,
I'm glad you brought this game to my attention since I was very interested in it at one time, but it has been so long now that I have almost forgotten all about it. Who knows, maybe those who are making this game will notice this thread, too, and will be motivated to move a little faster. Wouldn't that be nice?

To love is to be happy with!

It sure would be nice Sierra!

I just wrote both to the developer and publisher to hear whether they have a release date. You can write to them too if you like to show them that there is some interest in the game being released in english. Their emails are:

eParadise@ep.com.ua and koudr@akella.com

Incidentally I can see that during an interview Becky did about DMH, it was said that the english and russian would be released almost simultaneously. I wonder what happened to that idea...

According to another forum, the game has had very bad reviews in Russia frown Aww! I hope this has not thwarted any plans about the english release
------------
Hey everyone, great news! I just got this email from Akella, the publisher of Dead Mountaineer's hotel:

Dead Mountaineer's Hotel will be distributed in US by Lighthouse
company. They are working with localization this time and are
going to realize game in two months.

That sounds good doesn't it? We can add it to the list of great games coming soon this year!

Hi, I always try to stack my posts, but I thought I would write a separate post about the email I got the from developer of DMH as I did not want anyone to miss the news. Sorry about that smile

Dead Mountaineer’s Hotel is a non-linear character-driven game inspired by award winning Russian sci-fi novelists, the Strugatsky Brothers. Oleg Klapovsky, International Project Director of Akella Corporation added, “We are striving to bring a fresh gameplay approach to the Adventure game genre with our robust 3D real-time proprietary game engine. It allows us to incorporate multiple paths, consequences and 5 different endings, which are dependent upon the player’s decisions and behavior. We have married this with core elements that Adventure enthusiasts enjoy like puzzles, a captivating plot, and interesting characters to interact with. The unique cast characters each have their own personalities and agenda.”
