The game is very nice .

The game remind me the old monkey island games .
The graphics is smooth and also the voice is great .
The demo is short i liked the demo very much and im sure going to buy the full game .

The story looks interesting .
Very challenging but not so hard .

The bad thing is the game dosent work on vista/vista 64bit .
My main pc is vista 64 bit and when im getting to the main menu of the game the screen glitch the game stuck blink and only with taskbar manager i can shutdown the game .
The game running good on start i see the two logos of crimson cow and the other company but as soon as it get to the main menu you cant play it .

So i had to move it to my old windows xp second pc . And there the game worked perfect .

I sent an email to crimson cow hope they will make a patch or hot fix for the demo and also check the full game to see there are no problems with it in windows vista .

Overall very nice game . I saw better games and my opinion not the game of the year . I liked much more Chronicles of Mystery Demo and i also waiting for memento mori .

But im sure ill buy this game too . No doubt .

I was just wondering if this game had the same feel as Ankh(probably misspelled) and if it had any humor in it before I thought about downloading it. I know that the game itself looks good but that sometimes you can be mislead on occation.

I looked at a lot of rewievs(five different) on german adv sites and they all rated it 9/10, ok one of them gave it 8/10 .

Though I know that a rewiev does not always share my opinion, never the less IT SURE LOOKS GREAT.

Just finished the demo twice. What a beautiful and fun game.

Tried the demo and I was hooked. This is just the humor and style of what made the 90's adventure games so much fun to play.
This one has the Sam and Max wicked humor with Froderick's humor being omni present.

Only thing I wasn't a big fan of in the demo, was Mona's voice.

Looks like I will have to put Outcry to rest for a while.

Does this demo work on Vista 32? I hope this game works on Vista 32 because I preordered it from Dave along time ago.

update, I downloaded the game easily and quickly WOW what a great server they have. For those who want to know the answer to my own question, I am finding the game plays beautiful on Vista 32 home premium with a Nivida 8800 GT video card.

However I have one major complaint that I am going to have to overlook somehow since I really want to play the game. Mona's voice is the worst voice I have ever heard! The false high pitched voice sounds like a man trying to imitate a woman's voice.

To me it is like a nail scratching a chalkboard! So whoever complained about the voice I am in complete agreement with you. Whoever chose this voice sorry but I don't know what you were thinking. This makes me want to put a stake in Mona's heart or drown her in that bucket of water the demo starts out with. Or bury her in the graveyard dirt we are suppose to find.

Ok back to trying to endure the nail on the chalkboard voice.

By the time the demo was over Mona's voice no longer sounded like a finger nail scratching on a chalkboard, I learned to like it. The sense of humor in the game is delightful and the graphics also. I really look forward to the release of the full version and glad I pre ordered it. Thanks to Bernard he helped me get unstuck because I didn't know just to click on the item and use it. I was right clicking on the inventory stuff. Duh feel so stupid, but if it helps one person it was worth it.

The English version of A Vampyre Story was released at GamersGate today. Probably at some other internet shops as well.

Great just bought it and downloading now
The file size is 3.1GB . For me only 60minutes left untill playing

while I was playing the demo it started to stick in the scene where she and Fredric are at her grave. Can you imagine Mona talking to Fredrick and all you get is Fre,Fre,Fre, Fre, and then I would hit the computer or it would unstick itself and I would get Mon, Mon, Mon, Mon, or die, die, die, die and the no, no, no, no. It almost got to be very comical for a few minutes untill the program decided to shut itself down or the demo ran itself out.

I just played the demo. I suppose that if I try hard I can find a thing or two I wasn't crazy about, but all I'm going to say is that I will definitely buy this game as I am certain that I will enjoy it. It's just so... LucasArtsy. And after enduring Simon the Sorcerer 4, I can cope with any voice.
