Hello alltogether. I just wanted to let you know, that a free standalone mini-episode of Casebook has just been released. You can find the 248 MB file on the official Casebook website . Despite that, i already realised that i´m not the only Casebook fan on this board, so for everyone who is interested: I recently did an indepth interview with Areo´s Creative Director Sam Clarkson (who is also the director of the FMV sequences) for the german website Adventure Corner . Of course we´ve been talking about Casebook in all detail but beside that there´s also quite some stuff about FMV in past, present and future in there, as well as other very interesting things, Sam had to say. The link above is the one to the english version of course.

Thank you Jack. I'm downloading as I type. Is there a walkthrough for this episode ? Just in case my detective skills are not up to par. Cathy EDIT.. well tried to install it and it comes up with an installer integrity fault. Will try one more time. Is yours working Becky ?

Thank you very much Becky and Cathy. Glad you like the interview, Becky. I´m a big fan of fmv, and so it was a great opportunity for me to discuss certain things with one of the few who are doing it these days and who has a philosophy that i totaly share, especially when it comes to the fmv potential on nonplayers. I´m not sure about a walkthrough, Cathy. But there is an intuition feature in the game. When you press "I" on the keyboard while you´re searching through a crimescene the relevant "hotspots" get highlighted, so you can be sure that you won´t miss any evidence that´s relevant for unrolling the plot.

Downloaded, no problem, and played in a bit. I already have a wacky theory as to what's going on. Two wacky theories, actually. The problem is, they are mutually exclusive.

Thanks Jack, I too am a Casebook fan. Have one and two but there came a point where i can't go any further after all the pictures are taken. I have gone back and forth to each location to see if i missed something. I guess i'm not doing the links correctly so probably why i can't proceed with the games. Any hints on the subject? Gladly appreciated.... Lynnypoo2
peace!

Hi mel220die -- click here, then click on the yellow post-it note and then on the blue "download now." The forum FAQ says this (I'm not sure it's helpful, but it's all I could find): How do I post a topic in a forum? To post a new topic in a forum, click the relevant button on either the forum or topic screens. You may need to register before you can post a message. A list of your permissions in each forum is available at the bottom of the forum and topic screens. Example: You can post new topics, You can vote in polls, etc. We haven't heard anything about a new Carol Reed game, but we usually don't until it's closer to a release. Usually they release in the fall.

I wanted to just note that our server host was under repairs over the weekend that the demo was released! We didn't realize this was the case, but the download should work fine from now on. So please check it out here We'd love to hear what all you gameboomers feel about it.

Thank you so much. There was no yellow sticker on my page, but I clicked on the white apace where I thought one would be and it worked. Would have written sooner, but started to download and it was such a long one that I went to bed while it was going on. Haven't checked the forums yet. but I think that it will not show where to post. Don't know why the defective pages kept coming up. Thanks again, Mel22odie
