Walkthrough
playing as Aline Cedrac
Rooftops
- You begin the game on the
manor rooftops.
- Follow the rooftop around.
Keep going until Edward radios you.
- Climb through the window up
here.
Lucy's Bedroom
- Lucy, Obed's mother, is in
bed here.
- Talk with her. She will let
you know about the shadows and how light gets rid of them.
Since you don't have any weapons right now, that is a big
hint as to how to defend yourself.
- She will also give you a small
gilded key.
- When you are done talking
pick up the first aid kit on the side of the bed.
- Head for the door in the
room.
- A creature will appear.
Remember Lucy's words.
- Use your flashlight on the
creature. Keep shining it until it disappears.
- When it's gone, go for the
door.
- Lucy will stop you and tell
you about the charm on the table by the door.
- Pick it up.
- Exit the room
East Loft
- Start running west down the
hall.
- By the door here is a light
switch. Turn it on to get rid of the plants in here.
- The door is locked so you
need to find a key.
- Head back east and then
south down the hall.
- Go through the door here.
East Attic
- Head south and through the
door.
- Enter the room.
Storage Room
- Move through the room until
you reach a barrel.
- There is a saving charm
sitting on it.
- Walk further in and you
will radio Carnby.
- When done, continue to the
end of the room.
- There is a box of shotgun
cartridges sitting on a crate.
- Exit the room the way you
came in.
- From this room head to the
west side.
- Go out the door to the west.
- Walk down the hall.
- Go through the next door.
West Attic
- Head south.
- There is a small
gilded key (2nd Flr east)
- Continue in this direction.
- Move forward.
- Pick up the first aid kit.
- There is also a box of
bullets in here.
- Now exit the way you came
in.
- Go back down the hall.
East Attic
- Head back out the east door
into the hall.
- Use your 2nd floor key on
the door to the west.
Staircase
- Once inside the stairwell,
radio Carnby. She'll mention a statue in the smoking room.
- Head downstairs.
- At the landing Aline will
stop to listen to a conversation.
- When done, radio Carnby
again.
- The door here is locked so
continue downstairs.
First Floor Corridor
- Go through the door here.
- Move forward and your view
will change.
- Go through the east door.
Smoking Room
- This is the smoking room
Aline mentioned earlier.
- There are 3 first aid kits
on the table by the couch.
- There is an Indian style
stone socle on the north side of the room.
- Turn out the lights to see
the gun inside it.
- Use Lucy's key to open it
up and get the gun.
- You will now be attacked so
start heading for the door to the east.
- It will unlock and you will
be able to get out.
1st floor corridor
- Obed is here but he takes
off.
- Start following him.
- Follow the hall to the west.
- Exit through the door.
- Go through the door here.
You can here Obed's footsteps.
- Move forward.
- As you continue down the
hall you see a door slam.
- Head for this door.
- Continue west down the hall
until you reach the door with H.M. on it.
- In this hall pass the next
door with H.M. on it and continue on.
- At the end of the hall Obed
will be here.
- He will shoot you and you
will have a vision. You will then wake up in a bedroom.
South Bedroom
- You will radio Carnby.
- When done, turn on the
lights.
- On the desk is an allen
wrench.
- Also on the desk is a first
aid kit.
- On the little seat by the
mirror is a charm.
- On the nightstand is Alan
Morton's journal. Read it.
- The two doors in here are
locked so go through the mirror.
Stairwell
- Head downstairs.
- At the landing in the
corner is a shotgun.
- Open the door here and
continue down the stairs.
- Continue down the hall.
- At the end is a first aid
kit.
- Look through the spyhole in
the door.
- You see Obed.
- When you're done head back
up to the bedroom.
South Bedroom
- Carnby shows up.
- When you are done talking
he will help you up through a trapdoor in the ceiling.
Attic
- Judas De Certo will appear
to you in the mirror. He will ask you to bring him his
mirror.
- When done, exit through the
door to the north.
- To the east is a charm.
- Now exit through the door
to the east.
- When you exit the handle
will break and you will not be able to get back in.
- From here go back to Lucy's
bedroom.
Lucy's room
- Talk with Lucy again.
- When done head back out to
the hall.
Attic
- Now go through the door to
the west again that leads to the staircase.
Staircase
- Go through the door on the
first landing.
2nd floor corridor
- Go through the door to the
east.
Alan's office
- To Aline's right is a first
aid kit.
- Move forward into the room.
- On the dresser is the
mirror you need.
- Now climb the stairs.
- Under the desk is a grenade
launcher.
- Read Alan's journal on the
desk.
- Now exit back to the
corridor.
2nd floor Corridor
- When you get back out move
forward.
- Blood will begin to spill
from the door ahead and spiders will attack.
- Start running west, down
the hall.
- Pass the double doors and
enter the next door to Aline's left.
West Bedroom
- Move forward into the
bedroom.
- On the fireplace mantel is
a charm.
- On the dresser by the bed
is a box of cartridges.
- Head east into the bathroom.
- Judas will appear in the
mirror.
- When he's done talking walk
into the mirror.
- Judas will ask for the
mirror you have. DO NOT give it to him.
- Select 'no' and Aline will
break the mirror.
- Judas will disappear and
you will end up with your first statue. You will then
radio Carnby.
- Now head back through the
room toward the door.
- Edenshaw will appear.
- You will radio Carnby again.
- When he's done talking
unlock the door to the east.
- Open the door.
2nd floor landing
- You come out on the 2nd
floor landing.
- Kill the creature up here.
- Now head downstairs.
Lobby
- Check out the mirror at the
bottom of the stairs.
- Go through the double doors
to the north.
First floor Corridor
- Head east and through the
door at the end of this hall.
- Avoid the creatures here if
possible.
- Once inside, there will be
two zombies. Kill them.
- Go through the door to the
south.
Obed's office
- Turn on the lights.
- Move around the room.
- On a table by the desk is a
box of cartridges.
- The camera angle will
change and you will be standing in front of a mirror. If
you look at it, it mentions it's cracked.
- Shoot the mirror with your
shotgun.
- Read the book inside.
- Aline will mention that she
should go back and talk with Lucy.
- Before leaving you may want
to read the other books in here.
- Exit through the door you
came in and you will automatically be taken to Lucy's
room.
Lucy's Bedroom
- Walk over to her bed and
talk to her.
- She will give you a glass
prism.
- Exit the room.
Attic
- Exit out the door to the
west.
Staircase
- Head down the stairs to the
second floor landing.
- Go through the door here.
2nd floor corridor
- Enter the room to the east.
Alana's Office
- Climb the stairs and
examine the projector.
- Use the glass prism on it.
- Use your flashlight on it.
Press the spacebar.
- Watch the movie.
- When done a 3d map will
appear.
- Take it.
- Examine it. It mentions the
library.
- Head back to the staircase.
Staircase
- Walk down to the bottom.
- Go through the door here.
You will immediately be attacked by zombies so be
prepared.
1st floor
- When they are taken care
of, enter the library to the west.
Library
- Read the book on the desk.
- Read the Morton family
biography on the pedestal.
- Climb the stairs to the 2nd
floor.
- Walk around to the next
flight of stairs.
- There is an open door here.
- Enter.
- There are 3 boxes of
cartridges here.
- Exit.
- Head up the stairs.
- Climb the ladder.
Rooftops
- Follow the rooftop west.
- Climb the ladder.
Tower
- There is a box of grenades
to Alines left.
- Take them and exit back to
the library.
Solving the 3d map puzzle
Library
- Go back to the main floor.
As you head back down, notice the four bookcases.
- Stand in front of the main
doors and face the library.
- If you look at the cube you
can see four sections. One of the sections has a star.
- If you look at the manor
map you can see four large bookshelves on the main floor.
These represent the four sections on the cube.
- Walk forward to the 2nd
bookcase from the left and go to the left side. (In
between the first and second sections.)
- From here start clicking.
- You will hit on 4 books
that have a place to enter a code.
- On the cube it says 1991.
- Enter this.
- A secret room opens.
- Enter.
Secret Room
- You need to click on the
right spot but there is an Abkanis tablet, 3 first aid
kits, and a saving charm.
- Now click on the lever.
- A cage will raise out of
the ground with a horrible monster in it.
- Use the grenade launcher to
kill him. It shouldn't take to many shots.
- When done, examine the cage.
- Inside is half a gold
medallion.
- Head back to the library
doors and exit.
- You will end up in Lucy's
room again.
Lucy's Room
- Go up and talk to her.
- She will give you the other
half of the medallion.
- When you are done, radio
Carnby for a hint on how to get out of the manor.
- Head back to the main lobby.
Lobby
- Go back to the mirror at
the foot of the stairs.
- In inventory, combine the
two halves of the medallion.
- Place the medallion in the
mirror.
- Open the mirror.
Basement
- Move forward.
- Open the gate.
- Head to Alines right.
- Climb the ladder and she
will automatically use the Allen to open the trapdoor.
Greenhouse
- You are now in the
greenhouse.
- Edenshaw appears and tells
you to go to the fort.
- Follow the path and at the
fork make a left.
- Continue following the path
and on a crate is a box of grenades.
- Exit the door to the west.
Outside
- Once outside the monster
will attack again. You can outrun him.
- Head to the right of the
greenhouse.
- Exit through the gate here.
- Radio Carnby and he will
tell you about a weapon. You will need to find the parts
and assemble it.
Rocky Terrain
- The monster shows up again.
- Keep running and go through
the gate. He won't follow.
Cemetery
- Look at the map.
- There is a save charm in
this area.
- If you move forward and
then around to the dead end there are two boxes of
cartridges.
- Go back now and head in the
other direction.
- Follow this path to an
archway.
- When you get here the
monster will attack again.
- Check your map and then
start running.
- There is a crypt door you
want to enter. Head for it and get inside. It's possible
you may have to take the monster down first.
Crypt
- Walk down the stairs.
- You are now in a room
shaped like an octagon.
- Head to Aline's left.
- The first crypt is empty so
head to the second one.
- This one is Jeremy's.
- Enter.
Jeremy's crypt
- Inside is a rocket launcher
and some rockets.
- Near the tomb is a first
aid kit.
- On the tomb is a save charm.
- There is a metal object on
the tomb and an engraving. "Only a symbol of light
will open the tomb."
- You will take a metal cover.
- Combine this cover with the
flashlight.
- Exit the crypt into the
outer area.
Outer Crypt
- Go to the back wall.
- You'll notice a large 'X'
and metal pieces that light up when they are hit by the
flashlight.
- You need to light them in
the shape of an "M".
- Use your mouse button to do
this.
- Start at the bottom left
and trace the letter.
- When you hit the right
pieces they turn green. They will go back to normal if
you mess up.
- When you are done with this
Richard's crypt opens up.
- Head over there.
Richard's Crypt
- Go through the hole in here
and outside. Try running from anything that attacks.
Outcrop
- Head to Aline's right and
press the spacebar.
- Hit 'yes' to climb over the
side of the outcrop.
Forest
- Follow the path until you
reach a wooden gate.
- Go through it.
Fort Outskirts
- Move forward through the
archway.
- Cross the bridge.
- The main gate is locked but
you can climb up the side of the fort.
- Looking at the fort move to
the right side and click the space bar to climb up.
South Rampart
- Head downstairs.
- Head to Aline's right. You
will be chased by a dog so start running.
- There is a door up here but
it is locked for now so head down the stairs.
- Walk all the way to the
bottom and through the corridor and down another flight
of stairs until you reach a courtyard.
Inner Courtyard
- You will need to climb over
the wall here to get to the other side.
- Use the spacebar to climb
up and over.
- On the top of the wall is a
box of cartridges.
- There are plants here so
take them out now so you don't have to worry about them
later.
- Now climb the stairs and go
through the door.
Fort Interior
- There are several zombies
in here.
- Kill them.
- Head to the left and climb
the stairs.
- Open the door and enter.
Cell
- Obed is in here.
- When you are done talking
with him check the room.
- In the corner to the right
of the door is a black metal card and a charm.
- Exit.
Fort Interior
- Radio Carnby then walk down
the stairs and straight across to the next flight of
stairs.
- The door at the end of this
hall is locked with a strange mechanism. We'll open it
later.
- Go through the other door
here.
Oubliettes
- Head down the stairs.
- At the bottom make a left
and walk through the archway into the room.
- There is a note and
blueprints on the table. The blueprints will help you put
together the weapon.
- There are also some
wirecutters here.
- Walk behind the machine and
pick up the metallic piece.
- You will then be attacked.
Kill them off.
- Climb the stairs behind you.
Watch out for the creatures up here.
- There is a piece of mold.
- The chest can not be opened.
- Exit the oubliettes and
back out to the courtyard.
Courtyard
- From here go through the
archway and follow the corridor around.
- There is a chest in here
that you can open with the wirecutters.
- Inside is a rusty key and
steel ingot.
- There is also a box of
grenades in the room.
Note: There is a
bug here. If for some reason the camera doesn't follow Aline over
the wall just load up a saved game and it should be fine.
- Head back up the the south
rampart where we found the locked door earlier.
South Rampart
- Use the rusty key on this
door.
Workshop
- Head to Aline's left and
move forward.
- In a niche is a first aid
kit.
- Continue around.
- In a metal shed is a glass
lens.
- Dogs attack so kill them.
- Continue around the room.
- On a table is a book. The
last page says silver flash ,golden star, red sun, black
moon. This is the answer to opening the door with the
strange mechanism in the fort interior.
- In the center of the room
is a barrel of a weapon, orange accelerator and the stock
of a weapon.
- Use your blueprints to help
with assembly.
Assembly of Perforator
- First, combine the butt
with the orange accelerator.
- Combine the barrel with the
piece.
- Split the tripod support.
- Find the machine near the
ladder.
- Insert the mold and steel
ingot.
- Pull the lever.
- A perforator barrel appears.
- Split the tripod support
giving you half a metal ring then combine the barrel with
the tripod support.
- Combine this piece with the
photoelectric pulsar.
- Now exit through the hall
to the outside.
North Rampart
- If you combine the glass
lens with the telescope you will be able to see through
it. There is a strange tree.
- Continue along the outside
of the fort. The ground will collapse below you and you
will find yourself in the basement.
Reservoir
- There is a crocodile in
here. When he jumps out of the water you will have enough
time to turn and fire. One or two shots should be all it
will take.
- Follow this passage to a
flight of stairs.
- Climb up.
- At the top you will find a
first aid kit and in a metal box are three colored cards
just like the black one you already have.
- Exit through the door here.
- Now climb back up the
stairs and into the workshop.
- Exit the workshop and head
back to the fort interior.
Fort Interior
- Head back to the door with
the symbols across from the door to the obouliettes.
Using the clue from the book in the workshop place the
cards in the slots in the correct order. Silver, gold,
red, black.
- To do this, move the arrow
to the last slot and press the up arrow to place the
black card. Next, go to the first slot and press the up
key to place the silver card, etc.
- Enter
Planetarium
- Move clockwise around the
room.
- Pick up the plasma cannon
and save charm.
- Continue around. On a set
of crates is the second metal ring you need.
- Continue on and pick up the
first aid kit by the crates.
- Continue around the
planetarium until you are back where you started.
- Climb the spiral staircase
here.
- Carnby will radio you once
you get to the top.
- Pick up the picture with
the compass.
- Radio Carnby back. He will
give you the information you need.
- Write down each number he
gives you and you will end up with a date. 10/31/2001.
- Enter this into the machine
and watch the planets align.
- Carnby radios you again.
- A secret compartment will
open.
- Head back downstairs and
make a left.
- Get the items from the
compartment. A large bronze key, a seal, small rusty key,
a statue.
- Head back to the entrance
and then go clockwise until you reach a door.
- Use the bronze key to open
it.
Outcrop
- On the ground is a box of
grenades.
- Move forward and examine
the tree like statue.
- Carnby radios you and tells
you he has an object you need.
- Enter the planetarium again.
- Exit through the door that
takes you back outside.
- Exit here and climb the
stairs.
- Go through the fort doors.
Outside
- Cross the bridge.
- Howard attacks again. After
you take him out continue down the forest path.
Forest
- Keep going until you reach
Carnby.
- He gives you a stone you
need and you give him the seal.
- Head back to the tree
statue. You will find yourself taken back automatically.
Outcrop
- Place the stone in the
statue.
- Pick up the luminescent
stone and statue.
- Your radio Carnby again.
- You can now complete the
perforator.
- Combine the two metal rings.
- Combine the ring with the
energy stone.
- Combine this with the
perforator.
- Head back to the workshop.
Workshop
Lightning conductor room 1f
Room 2f
Roof
- There is a trapdoor up here
that is padlocked shut.
- Use the rusty key on the
lock.
- Head back to room 2f.
Room 2f
- Pull the lever here to open
the trapdoor.
- Now down to 1f.
Room 1f
- Pull the lever here and the
monster will appear for the final showdown.
- You can't kill him with
your weapons but if you notice the object in the middle
of the room conducts lightning. Stick close to this and
run around. Howard will jump over this and if your lucky
he will get hit by lightning. You need this to happen 3
times.
- There is also a time limit
so if it runs out you will need to repeat the previous
steps to get the lightning going again.
- When Howard is dead make
sure you leave the room and come back in and save so you
don't have to do it again.
- You need lightning to make
your weapon work so you need to get back to the
obuilletes within 1:50.
- Pull the lever on the first
floor then head up to the second floor and pull this one
then head back down to the first floor and pull the lever
again. The timer starts so start running.
- Get back down to the
obouliettes.
Oubliettes
- Get down the stairs and
place the perforator on the machine and wait for
lightning to strike.
- When it does a hole will be
blown in the wall in front of you.
- A spider creature will
appear.
- Ignore it and run through
the hole.
Underground River
- Pick up the photoelectric
pulsar on the ground.
- There is a note on the
ground you can read.
- Continue down the river
until you reach a ladder.
- Climb down.
- Continue until you reach a
bridge.
Collapsed Well
- Move forward.
- Walk down to the bottom of
the stairs then through the opening.
Underground Passage
- Walk down the stairs.
- There are rocks in the way
so climb over them.
- Now continue down the
stairs.
- Move forward.
- Carnby will show up. Follow
him around.
- When you are done continue
down the passage.
Abkanis Bridge
- Cross the bridge and enter
the next opening.
Antechamber
- Walk down the hall until
you reach a trapdoor.
- Open it.
- Inside is a bunch of
goodies.
- Continue down the hall.
- Alan and Edenshaw are in
the next room.
- Watch the scene and when
it's done go through the door Carnby got sucked through.
Ledge E
- Head to the bottom of the
stairs. Carnby will radio you.
- Make sure you pick up the
crystal along the way to recharge your battery.
- Go through the archway.
Columns
- Move forward following the
ledge. There is no way across the chasm yet.
- Go through the archway on
the other side.
Cavern B
- Start running until you
reach an area were you can climb up on some rocks.
- From here find another area
you can climb up on.
- Jump down and run down the
hall avoiding the plants.
- At the end of the hall make
a left and go through the opening.
Ledge D
- Make a left and head down
the stairs.
Fortress
- Move forward and then left.
- Climb up the long flight of
stairs.
- Move through this area and
at the end a door will open.
Temple
- There is an alter in the
middle of the room with seven plates that you can slide.
- Approach the one directly
in front of you and then move clockwise to the next one.
- Slide this plate.
- The room will turn and a
stone will appear.
- Go over and check it out.
- Click on it to receive a
seal.
- Do this five more times and
the last plate will turn the room back so you can exit.
- You should have received 6
seals. Bulls head, fish, bison, bear, snake, horse.
- Now exit this area and walk
back down the stairs.
Fortress
- Head to the left side and
find the ladder.
- Climb up and on the roof
climb down the ladder to the inside.
- There are 6 stones in here
that you can place the seals in.
- Starting from left to right
the seals are placed as follows: horse, snake, bear,
bison, fish, bull.
- A stone will rise bridging
a gap in the floor.
- Go through the opening in
the room and head to the end of this hall.
- Get the stone pyramid and
saving charm.
- Also in this room is a
flask.
- Now exit back out and up
the long flight of stairs again.
Fortress
- As you follow this area
again keep an eye out for a small pyramid.
- When you reach it place the
stone pyramid you have in inventory on it.
- You will receive an Indian
head.
- Head all the way out to
where you originally climbed down the ladder.
- This time follow the stairs
all the way down.
Ledge D
- Follow the ledge through
the opening.
Lava Room
- Head to Aline's left.
- Look out for the spider
things.
- Continue through this area
and out the door on the other side.
Scream Tunnel
- Just run through this
tunnel quickly and out the other side.
Natural Bridge
Cavern A
- Move into the cavern.
- To the right is a
phosphorescent pool that you can fill your flask with.
- Continue through this
cavern.
- Scale the wall on the other
side.
Narrow Ledge
- Pass through here climbing
the rocks.
- At the other side you will
see a scene of Alan climbing down a rope.
- Head all the way back out
to the natural bridge and climb down the rope here.
Ledge C
- Move through here and
through the opening.
- Keep going until you meet
up with Alan and Carnby.
- Obed will show and kill
Alan. Aline will follow them into the hole they jumped in
to.
- At the bottom you will find
the 7th statue.
- You will radio Carnby.
- Move through the opening in
the rocks.
- Climb down.
Abkanis Tomb
- Move through the room.
- Johnson will radio you.
- Move through the opening.
- Climb down to the rivers
edge.
- Jump in the river and
follow it.
- Another crocodile will
attack. One shot should take him out.
- Follow the river to the
other side.
- Climb out and go through
the doorway.
- Once through Johnson will
radio you again.
- When you are done with him
climb down.
Cavern B
- Run forward and through the
opening.
Columns
- You are at the columns
again but this time there is a tremor and a column falls
allowing you access across the chasm.
- Unfortunately Obed is
blocking your way.
- You can't kill him so you
need to find a way past him.
- You will need to run past
him on the left.
- If you can't do it back up
and keep going at him until you make it past.
- When you finally get past
start running and go through the opening.
Necropolis
- Move forward.
- Walk over and then around
the table.
- There are 3 busts on it but
2 heads are missing.
- Place the indian head you
have in inventory on the bust.
- Carnby shows up and puts
his head on the bust.
- The door behind you opens.
- Run through.
- Watch the final scene.
