Is anyone playing this game? I have only just started and I am so stuck! I have the map, chain, cigar, matches, underwear, and rifle in my inventory. I just can't figure out what to do next.

I looked around online and I can't find any hints/walkthrough for this game at all. Maybe someone will come along who is familiar with it.

I found a couple of things Here. Look on the right hand side also. EDIT... I just looked at them.
I guess they are useless. I'll post if I find something usefull.

I started the game over since it had been so long. I am now stuck at the same place as before. I can't go anywhere except east (where the girl lives) and the main town (police station). If I try to go west, it says that I need to explore this location first. I have tried to use the map but I don't have any luck there either. How can I get to the other locations?

Have you been to Miller's Bar? It will give you useful hints. It's in Middle City Center, top part of screen.

Inside the bar you can take the beer mug and the empty glass.

The beer mug needs to be given to the old man sitting beside the statue in Middle City East.

Don't mind the map right now. It will become available for "quick travel" further down the game.

I'm sorry to be such a pain. I have been to all of the locations in the Middle Center City (police station and bar) and Middle City East (old man, Patton's house and garage, and crazy old man's house. I can't seem to go anywhere else like Middle City South, West and the graveyard. I just get the magnifying glass but no indication that I can walk there.

No, it's fine.

I guess it happens when you are "forced" to stop for a while, and then you rush through the game to save some time.

Anyway, it looks like you forgot to go to Murphy's Motel in Middle City West ... again! LOL!

The purpose of the game is to promote exploration, so when you see the magnifing glass it usually means that that location is closed and you need to look somewhere else. You'll get used to it while game progresses.

So just head for the Motel, get the firetong, talk to Mr Murphy and his daughter ....

I'll save the rest for later (spoiler alert!) ...

Dear all,

if you are a Linux user please be advised that the game is also playable under Linux using WINE emulator.

An issue with MP3 sounds may arise, but it was successfully bypassed using the SoundJuicer MP3 library.

If you are interested in it, please make sure it works for you by trying it on the demo before buying the game.

Maybe there is a communication problem here. It's not that I forgot to go to the hotel, I can't go to the hotel. I can't go anywhere else but Middle City Center and Middle City East. The icons aren't there to let me go anywhere else. I just get a magnifying glass when I try to go West to the hotel and it says that I need to explore this location first. I appreciate that you are trying to help, but I'm about ready to give up.
