Aha, a sneaky bit of French from the old Royal historical traditions, but I think they were in the late morning when the King arose and courtiers attended as an audience to his ablutions. There was a similar evening session, I think entitled couchee.

I had forgotten about those, and I doubt that they still exist, even as a less intimate and more token ritual part of the pomp and ceremony in Britain: besides, I am not convinced that the Queen would choose to receive a group of men in her boudoir - but you never know! lol
