Oh my it has been so long since I have posted that I forgot my name...........lol Anyway, I am stuck. I am suppose to go back to the temple to make rose oil and the WT says to put the Rose in the distillation chamber but I don't know where the distillation chamber is. I walked into the temple and tried all the places around the temple but the rose won't go anywhere and I am not getting anything that actually says distillation chamber. Please tell me where it is and be specific. You know how slow I am. I haven't been playing in months. Have not felt well so am trying to get back in the swing of things and it is hard. Help.

I think the temple is that open circular area with four doors. One of the doors led to the yard where you would have found a lemon . . . the distillation apparatus is at one of those doors. (I think)

Thanks TH.

The Temple is the place with the statues and fountains that is far down the road from th Control building.
It is the first place that you reached after climbing the stairs to the outside at start of the game.
As TH stated just outside are lemon trees.

So go back to where the railcar started and exit the building and walk the road.

Hi, Renee,
I'm glad you're feeling better!

I think the distillation chamber is in the building near Big Nose Rock. Let me check my notes.

Sorry, Santa! There were too many options.

Hi all I guess I wasn't specific enough but I know where the temple is and I am inside and have found the distillation chamber and all of that stuff when I did the lemon but whenever I put the rose anywhere, it doesn't take it so that is why I need you all to be specific. I wait until the name is showing and haven't had any problems putting other items away but this just isn't working so help me out here. I am in the temple and tried putting the rose everywhere but maybe I Missed something. Help!!!!

Renee, the distillation chamber is the two glass jugs for lack of a better word I believe. Try clicking the rose bud on one of them and then turning the warm water valve on and see if that will work for you.
Good luck

Sorry for the confusion on my part, Renee. I was thinking of other perfume scents from another place in the game.

Texaslady, didn't you have to click high up on the chamber to get it to take the rose?

Sorry, Santa! There were too many options.

I honestly don't remember LadyK. I remember making the oil, remember the awkwardness of trying to move around the area and I remember squashing a lemon.........after that things are fuzzy. But it must not have been overly difficult or I would remember it. I do remember trying to make the scents and remember spending forever trying to make the correct shape in the photo lab.

Hi all I figured out the rose. Penny's WT is wrong so maybe we should let her know so she can change it. Not being critical but it is bettr if WT's are out there and are correct. I looked at the WT that is actually on Chemicus and it helped me since that part was not in the right order on Penny's WT. Anyway, I am now trying to find the stalactite to out the cork and I am not finding it and I also saw a picture of it on the Chemicus WT. Do any of you have an idea of where this stalatite is? I have roamed around down in the cave forever. If this is suppose to help me get back into playing games again, it is becoming very frustrating. LOL Any ideas on how I find this stalatite. Maybe you could begin by walking me down the stairs and then turn left right etc etc. Thanks

Renee you go down the stairs in the temple I believe, and go onto that side platform. I think that's where the stalactite is that you are looking for.

hi Texaslady Better late than ever I say. I am down in the temple and looking at all kinds of stalactites. I am just not finding the right one so that is where I need help. I am just now getting back to playing this. Any other ideas on where the stalactite is.

Renee did you walk out onto that little side platform? Look up at them and you should see one of them has a drip, I think that's the one you need to cork.
Good luck

I finally got the cork on the icicle. You have to move the arrow up and I could have sworn that is what I had done but obviously not so maybe that is something that should be put in the WT unless there are no more dummies like me so thanks for all your help.

I need help again. I am leaving the control room to go back to the transporter and it says the water tank should be almost empty like the left one on the right side but just how am I suppose to do that?

There's a piece of metal pipe missing from the mechanism that changes the water level. You can find it in the steelworks area.

Sorry, Santa! There were too many options.

Hi LadyKestrel Are we talking about the pipe I already have to change the water tank on the left side or is this another pipe? Happy New Year

I looked at the Walkthrough on the CD and all it talks about is to make the right water tank empty but it doesn't say at the same time. If I click the left side and turn the metal pipe, it will make the left water tank full again and the rightside lower. Can you remember if they should both be empty or just one side?

Renee, there is a walkthrough here at GameBoomers (I don't know if it is the same one that is on the CD or not)--here is what it says: "Once in the Control room, turn to your right and click just to the left of the thick metal pipe. Notice an empty place, place the thin metal pipe in that space. Now the left water tank is almost empty, make it so that the right one is almost empty. Leave and go back to transporter and go to Zn."

So it sounds to me as though both tanks should be almost empty... luck

HI Jenny...it is the same WT that I am looking at and also LadyKrestrel, the WT says the left one is suppose to be empty and also the right one. I am afraid if I leave the tank the way it is, I will have to go back there later and fix something and I don't want to have to do that so do I or don't I leave the right tank alone? Also, the tanks aren't all empty but almost. Thanks

Renee, I'll have to leave this one to the people who have played Chemicus. Since I haven't, all I could do was to quote from the walkthrough here at GameBoomers. I hope you can get this question cleared up so that you can go on with your game.... luck

Hi Texaslady....that is what I am doing but that is what started the original question which is.........the WT says to make the right tank almost empty too but it doesn't say how. I put the metal pipe on the bottom and it emptied the left tank but how do I empty the right tank. Help!!! How can someone write a WT like this and then not say how to finish what you started in the first place? Does someone have an answer to this question? Has anyone played this game recently?

Renee, play with the controls or the pipes and see if you find out which ones will lower the right tank also. I really can't remember.

Renee,
You're lowering the level in a swimming pool so you can access a door. Since you never enter the other pool, the level there doesn't matter.

Thanks LadyKestrel.......I have continued on in the game and so far no problems until I have come to the part in the Cu area. I put some copper2oxide in the left cup and am suppose to place a black bead on the outer ring but I am ot finding where the outer ring is. I keep placing it everywhere and in different spots but it keeps going back to inventory. Does anyone have a specific spot I should be putting it? I also don't have my inventory piece that says black bead but some other kind of bead so I hope that isn't the problem. Does anyone remember where we were to get this inventory piece? Thanks

thanks texaslady. the thread didn't help me with making black beads. Also, I might have them but not sure where the outer ring is to put the black beads. Do you remember how to do that? It did say something on how to make copper2oxide but I did have that and that is what I put in the left cup but the right cup for the black beads is what I was wondering about and of course as I said, where is the outer ring on this gizmo? Thanks

Renee,

A recap:

Place copper2oxide in the left cup. Check if the cursor on central thing reads Cu2O.

Look close (Zoom) in on that central thing. There you will see black beads with a minus sign on them on one corner (I think at top left, not at central part).

You place that electron-blackbead with minus sign on an outer ring of the molecular structure and it will produce a new chemical on the right pan - after you press the red button.

I did it....I did it.............I did it!!! Thank you so much Mag. sorry but no matter how hard some people work to do WT's they just don't explain really great at times and I know I am slow sometimes but not stupid. How was I to know that the black beads were on the things itself. I kept clicking but nothing showed up. A funny thing was I put two in the rightside and it came up just copper if you can believe that? LOL Luckily the WT said copper1oxide so I went back to my save and it came out right the next time and it doesn't go on the outer ring. You put the bead in that center thing and voila, the chemical is made. Ok another problem. I was moving along so well and I am using the WT since this is all way above me. I have just finished by the pool and the WT said to go to the Control Room.I have looked all over the WT and I don't see what button to push to get there. Can you remember? It seems funny that the WT would say that and not mention what button to push to get there. thanks

Hello Everyone, I'm at an early stage in the game, reached the Temple and Control Room. Picked up the distilled water and transporter module, and lemon juice from the counter weight. Also got the Knowledge chip and fuel cell aggregate. Following Adobe walkthrough putting the Fuel cell aggregate on the sealing valve doesn't do anything, it pops back into inventory. Back at Control Room, I flip the switch but the lever won't move or won't move at all. Can't enter the transporter either. Can anyone help. I've also used Penny's WT but with no success. Can anyone help

Chorlton are you certain that you are trying to place the fuel cell in the correct place? The fuel cell should go on top of the sealing valve.

Hello Texas Lady, Yes I have put the fuel cell on top of the sealing valve. I notice there is a movable lever there. I tried that in both positions, but with no success. I can't see any other options.
Thanks for responding promptly.

I'm so sorry Chorlton but the only things that I can think of are that you are trying to put the cell either in the wrong place or on the wrong device.

Chorlton are you placing the cell above the oval shaped thing? It does not go on the faucets. Once it is seated it should connect with the pipes that are marked red and blue.

Texas Lady Superstar, Thank you for your help. I was trying to put it on the mouth of the faucet or in the bowl. Going up to the blue and red pipes was the answer. Moving on nicely now through the game's chemistry refresher. Thanks again for your prompt and invaluable help

Hello Texas Lady again, I am progressing but in the ZN area I've put the stalactite piece in the dish on top of the bunsen burner but can't get it to light up. Tried the hot splint but with no success. Made the sparkler successfully. Do I need to go elsewhere and then return. The quicklime is needed in the Sn Pb area.
Oswald, your very grateful fan.

Okay, I didn't make a note about having any problem here. I assume that you clicked on the burner but got no response?
Is the strange little machine that allows you to select rooms [before the door and to your right as you approach this area] set to Zn? Did you select Zn once you entered the lab area on the panel to the left of the door?

Texaslady, Thanks again for your help. I checked the door dial settings and after going up and down in the lift a few times finally got all the settings correct and and Hi-Ho the burner worked.
With immense gratitude for your patience and guidance.

I'm glad you fixed that problem Oswald. Just remember to keep checking the chemical symbols as you move around in this game.

Hello Texas Lady, I have progressed beyond that beautiful ride in the gondola to the Tower and reached the Disposal Hall. The disposal has gone well, but the final one is Inorganic Solid Waste to dispose of quicklime, copper 2 oxide and heavy metals. I have the first two in the inventory but not heavy metals. I can't find it anywhere in the previous places in the game, or any mention in the WT. Does it mean the copper or aluminium, the only metals left.

Chorlton I'd try to use the inorganic solid waste area to dump anything that you might have left in inventory. You'll find out quickly enough if you still have inventory items that need to be disposed of.
Good luck

Sue

Texaslady, Thanks for your advice. I've dumped a lot more items and am going on through the game. So far with no problems. I'll just keep going and see what happens.
