I'm so frustrated! It seems I've had the same problem a few others have had where after having the space on the floor open where the annubis statue is I am unable to grab it. I have read the writing on the far door and touched all of the statues. Unfortunately I have never been in the habit of saving the game at various spots always just the one so I have absolutely nothing to fall back on. Is it as hopeless as I'm thinking?

Hi 4presidents and welcome to Gameboomers welcome

I'm not sure this is hopeless. Do you hear the click that lets you know that the panel in the floor has opened?
I do suggest with this game that you save a wee bit more often. There are just too many places that may have puzzles that you do not want to replay.
Let me know about the click please.

Hi texaslady and thanks for the quick reply. I'm pretty sure there was a click because there was a closeup of the exposed statue in the niche as soon as I touched the fourth and final statue. I believe there was also a notation in my notes that says something like the panel is open. I know, I could kill myself for not saving multiple times.

Okay 4, when you go to the place where the opened panel is, are you able to see a statue in there? No offense intended but are you sure it isn't already in your inventory?

Yes, I am able to see the statue in there, however, it is a little out of focus looking, not clear like you would be able to grab it. No offense, believe me I checked the notes to see exactly when and how many statues I got. I have 3 from the other places but not this room. I don't think it makes any difference but I have already gone back to the room with the pillars and put the "B" disc in the middle pillar. I think I'm at a dead end...

Hang on 4presidents and let me see if smarter people have an idea of why you can't grab this statue.
How many of the statues do you already have in your inventory? Do you have one from the "urn" room?

I have 3 statues in my inventory. I think I got them in the wine cellar, laboratory and the urn room. Am I doing this right? I've never done this before but it seems to be going alright with the messages.

You are doing fine 4, I'm just trying to figure out why you can't grab this particular statue.

welcome 4presidents!

Just a review of the rotating room from an old wt:

· Try to advance 1 screen toward the statues (Sherlock will note the motion).
· Turn right then click between the statues on the far wall.
· Turn 180 degrees.
· Click on both statues nearest to you (one at a time).
· Turn 180 degrees then click between the two statues on the far wall.
· Turn right then click on the wall between the two doors.
· Turn left then click on both statues nearest you (one at a time). (view the cutscene)
· Turn 180 degrees then click between the statues on the far wall.
· Click on the door in front of you.
· Pan down then take the statuette from the secret compartment (in the floor).

See if you can replay this part using the above step by step. Please keep us posted.

Sorry, it didn't work. When I get to the statuette it is still fuzzy looking and my hand still has the pipe in it. Please tell me I don't have to start the whole thing over again!

pipe? What pipe? Let me refresh my memory with the wt again. Be back.

--- Sue told me that the pipe is the neutral cursor. If so, can you try to get as close to the door as possible and see if you can pan down to look directly on the floor.

4presidents, I just checked and I have saved games on my old hard drive that you are welcome to. They are divided into levels but I have finished level each level.
If you can't get this statue out of the hole, let me know if you want to use saved games.
It may be preferable to starting this game essentially from scratch.

Sue, that may be my saving grace. Even when I'm standing directly over the statuette I am unable to grab it. I think this may be some kind of glitch unfortunately. How on earth do you get your saved games to me? Sorry for the delay, my kids got on the computer...

4, click on my name/avatar and send me an email please. That will allow me to capture your email address since it isn't listed. I'll send you two saved games and you can decide which to use. Will send you chapters 3 and 4. That way if you want to play the parts of 3 that you haven't....you will have the option.

Got it Marita.......thanks

4 I have just sent you chapters 3 and 4. It's your choice obviously as to which you opt to try. You may want to check the w/t just to see what would be coming next. This game was fairly linear so I could not have veered far from what Witchen wrote in her walkthrough.
Good luck and I hope they will work for you.

I was able to pick kup the statue. What I need help with is getting to the door to read the note on it. When I have a pointing cursor and have it touching the door, I get the rotating sound but cannot advance to the door. I think I need to view it before I can but the B seal on the middle urn in the other room right?

Desimaui you have to move from wall to wall to get to the opposite door from where you entered. You don't aim towards the door you need to reach and once you finally get there, be certain that you turn around and go into close-up to read what is written on the door.
Try clicking between the opposing walls to get to the door.
Good luck

Collette you have to turn around and face the door when you get to that corner of the room. I think you end up there with your back to it.

Collette, you probably need to be closer to the door before you can get the riddle in close-up... luck

Help! I finally got out of the rotating room, goe thru the water puzzle, and back in the ruined wine cellar. I have the paint brush, Parkeys bag, note lantern, but I cant find the barrel with the grasping hand or get a bung out of one to get to the gun powder.....any suggestions...really up a creek

Hi jequest. I remember getting gunpowder out of a wine cask I think. This could be one of those areas that is just a pixel hunt.....I'm sorry but I don't remember more than that.

jequest,

If I remember correctly - face the entrance to the wine cellar. There will be some kegs or junk right of the entryway. There will be hotspot on a keg. That is the one that I think has the gunpowder. Move the cursor on them or move closer to find the elusive hotpspot.

Keep us posted.
