Starcom, I watched those videos and I was not logged into Facebook.

Having said that, I found one of them on YouTube, so you can view it here.

Some people can see them and some people can't. I've got no idea why. My DIL doesn't have a FB account and she could view them OK. Go figure!

Thanks for reposting Drac's video, Marian. (I couldn't get any sound for it on the Facebook page.) It's such a funny clip. I loved my late husband dearly, but when we both retired, we would have driven each other crazy if we didn't have some space between us to pursue our own activities.

When I use your video links, Draclvr, on reaching the site, I'm told "Charlie is on Facebook" and that if I want to watch the videos I will have to join Facebook !!

Sorry - but No Thanks duh

Did you try the link that I provided above, Mad? I found the same video on YouTube - hopefully you can see that one.

For me, they are on pages 23 and 24. I'm not on Facebook but I can view them.

23 and 24, oldbroad? There are only 13 pages in this thread for me! That's kinda strange!

I think it has to do with people's individual settings for GameBoomers in terms of how many posts they have specified that they want to see on one page, which you can change in your Preferences in your Profile. I remember telling someone in the Hints forum to take a look at a certain page in the thread, and what I wanted them to look at wasn't on the same page for them that it was for me. Up until then I had always assumed that it was the same for everyone.

Hi Marian smile

Yes, I used your link, thank you.

I was just really shocked at the abrupt (and I thought rather rude) message on arriving at Facebook !!

That's correct Marian. I remember the discussion not too long ago. There is a setting under "preferences" where you can change how many posts are on a page.

You can link directly back to the original posting too. As opposed to mentioning page numbers, there's a Post# in the upper right hand of each posting that's a URL, which can be copy/pasted: https://www.gameboomers.com/forum/u...9-aka-coronavirus-discussion#Post1214791

I'm guessing that the inability to look at some Facebook vids, even if they aren't restricted, might be due to geographic region.

Well, the puppy had her (outer) stiches removed today. Here incision was starting to get irritated because of how crazy she's been getting. Tried our best to keep her calm, but even on the leash it's like walking a little hurricane. She runs forward to the extend of the leash, takes a twisting leap in the air and lands in that typical butt in the air, time to play dog pose. At first she would strain at the leash, now she uses it to her advantage like a doggy acrobat. lol

She's doing well though, and I can tell she's very glad that she doesn't have to wear a t-shirt to keep her away from the stiches anymore.

I would just take my tablet into the closet with me, Starcom! Luckily, my husband and I are co-existing quite well. One thing that has been a life saver is his TV headphones... he can watch his WW II documentaries and Russian sub-title movies to his heart's desire and I have blessed silence! He also reads a lot and we both have a lot to do outside with huge gardens and 10 acres to take care of.

lol This is page 7 for me! You can adjust how many posts you see on a page in preferences. Clearly we are all set different!

Drac, I need have hubby wear headphones, his old golf, bowling, football and basketball shows are killing me!

Trail, I'm so glad your little girl can run free again! I walk dogs like her for a living and it's a real challenge! Especially when they have mulitiples!

Stay well!

Headphones are a good way to listen to music and TV ... and this is O.K. ... everyone's taste in these venues can be different yes

... the ability to listen to/ hear all frequencies really impacts music blush

He originally got these wireless headphones because he has such a hard time hearing things in movies or shows if there is any background noise. So he had the volume turned up super loud... which really didn't help. So I got him these and now he can hear everything perfectly while I have silence. Or we can watch TV together while I have the volume at a comfortable level for me and he is listening under his headphones.

In this quarantine, it is been a life-saver!

In our house I'm the one wearing headphones for my games. of course.

We've always co-existed well anyway, having worked together on various consulting projects at home a few decades ago, so this is no real hardship.

But that video reminded me of so many of the little things that make you grind your teeth, no matter how much you love your spouse. In our house, it's cleaning up the kitchen after dinner. He "cleans up", then I go in and do the 50% that he somehow just doesn't see. It's right there on the counter in plain sight -- dishes, cutlery, a pot or two -- but apparently it's invisible to him. Selective Spousal Sight, I call it. grin

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I'm getting worried about meat. I love me some meat! smile

I'm also without a mask. My brother found some at the gas station and bought 3 of them but he hasn't brought one up to me yet. I'm thinking they are paper, not cloth as required. I rarely go out but soon will need to go to the bank at least. I suppose I will just wrap a scarf around my face if I have to, even though I'm pretty sure I got frostbite one time because I cannot stand something over my nose and mouth. I can't breathe like that.

My friend in the neighboring state of Indiana mailed 3 cloth masks to us a week ago yesterday which we never received. I supposed they were mis-delivered or intercepted and kept by somebody else. Last night she emailed me a picture of the envelope. It was returned to her for additional postage. The post office wrote on it: "Soft (masks) material enclosed means parcel. This is a 1st class parcel not a letter. Please pay us appropriately." So my thinking somebody knew they were masks and kept them was only half correct. smirk
