That is really strange, Rowan - I haven't heard of anybody ever being locked in! But you know, this game sort of has a life of its own, and different things happen to different people. Good for you for figuring out how to beat it!

Wrong house. This one is in Verditis and you'll be there later. You'll find the healers in the blue boar inn.

Hi Row - Don't have the two quests you're talking about - yet <g> I just finished freeing the little boy from the Dark Cave (but can't get in to get the vampire bat) and the one the merchant asked me to do (find his supply wagon). I'm at level 15 and can finally make my own potions - which I need being the spell caster that I am

Row, I had the Tingalf quest, but I never was invited into the house, interesting - maybe just survivors. You might find the parents and the boy at the archer's guild.Maybe talking to them will complete the quest (hopefully).

I got Tingalf's quest by talking to a guard but haven't seen a couple nor a child (other than the little boy I rescued from the cave). Tingalf did invite me to look at his wares but I was talking to the weapons guy at the time and followed him first. Never did follow Tingalf.

Didn't follow him either and don't remember being asked--just bought stuff off of him. Did ask him about supplies after got the quest. Will need to talk to the boy at the archer's guild for that quest's points.

The elixirs add to some statistics, and detract from others, so best to save before you drink, and then look at your stats (should be an obvious sort of thing, like adding a hundred to a stat). It's helpful in some situations, but can hurt you too. Sorry, I didn't use the scorpion traps, so hopefully someone will come along that did. I know the traps can be very useful against real baddies, like the lovely Josephina.

The white one is restoration and will give you both mana and vitality. The orange one is strength. The purple one is a combination that increases attack/defense, I think. The black one makes you invisible until you use something though not always.
As for the traps, first need to select deadly gift spell. Then whatever you got will show up in a window. Left click on which one you want to use and it should appear in the skill window. Then right click to activate the skill and finally left click where you want it. Scorpions are real nice, they'll automatically will head off for the next hostile. When done follow them around, sometimes will kill something for you. Haven't had much luck in using trail bombs, and the spider mines have to be activated by someone walking on them. Then they go after whoever step on them and will also blow-up if nothing is there after a short time.

These quests are like the Gorgon's head - get one done and two new ones spring up in its place. I'm at level 17, have a reputation of 15 and just earned the key to the garden. I poisoned the orc well and got an invitation to SF castle. I have 24 quests done, failed 1 (didn't meet Z in time at the inn), and got 26 more to do...for now. A lot of times I don't have a clue how to solve a quest, so I just wander around opening up new territory, and then stumble across a clue or a new quest. I've met a knight in shining armour and a spy dressed as an orc. I solved one quest by accident..the one with the disappearing/appearing gem near a graveyard. I was wandering around that region and a man stopped me and said I solved the quest. Have no idea what I did. But I'll take each small victory as they come. I think that poison in the well is not working. I still run into too many orcs in the bush! I was hoping they would all disappear after that quest was done. <img border="0" alt=" " title="" src="graemlins/woozy.gif" />

Everyone fails that Zandalor quest Rowan, part of the story line. Naw, some of the Orcs must drink soda or something instead of water. Sounds like you're doing great! Remember that you don't have to do all the quests if you don't want to,having fun playing it is the main thing. And although everyone tells you to hurry and get something done, there are few quests that it makes a difference on! In fact, the only one I can think of is whether or not to burn the cart in Verdistis. And maybe rescuing the lizard, but that's a lot later in the game.

Hi Syd, From the Dwarven Forest teleporter go SE and you will find that portal stone you zapped to by accident. Go the same distance SE again, but slightly more east, and you should find the wishing well. It's in orc territory. When you find the well save before you make any wishes. Then you can try the various responses. You can wish for more strength, or more other attributes, but you can also wish for an orc fighting helper. I'm thinking of doing that, but wanted to hear from others for advice. I'm just afraid that I will shoot my helper with all the wild clicking I do when attacked by a horde of baddies.

I'm back - after doing some this-worldly chores. Now back to completing DD chores. I made my wish at the wishing well and just wanted to say it is worth it to pay the highest price for the wish. While travelling through orc country, I think I got the necklace that Balin was looking for (one of the quests). Now I can't for the life of me remember where Balin is! Or the accused, Jonas, who supposedly stole it. Can someone jog my memory as to where to find them?

The necklace that Balin wants is actually in Jonas' house, or on him (can't remember which). Both of them live in the poor areas. If I remember correctly you have to tell Jonas about the accusation and he eventually tells you about what a nasty man Balin is, and fesses up.
I had a lot of trouble in my first game finding people after I had finished their quests. The second time I got smart and labelled every house with the occupant's name as well as a mini-description of their quest, on my map. Ditto areas in the sewers that I wanted to go back to, and areas in the wilderness that I needed to find again.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Well until I read hagatha's answer I was looking for Balin's necklace Now I know where it is - I just finished the cursed abbey quest and am on my way to deliver the feign death potion to Gareth. Also finished the other quest that had to do with Nericon's garden. Got all the teleporter scrolls for what it's worth - not sure how to use them though. Still can't find Dr. Elrath nor can I find Tingalf - they have to be somewhere in the merchant's village I would think. Row - have you been to the Dark Forest yet? There are some mountain trolls that I'm not strong enough to whomp yet - I need to increase some skill. I'm at Level 23 and 1/4 right now.
