Cold-brew coffee is delicious. I've often thought of buying the equipment to make it at home. I defintely go for the heavy cream and sugar, too. It's the best thing to take on a hike in the woods in the summer if you want to avoid too much liquid.

Hagatha and Soot, I enjoy cold coffee, also. My former sister in law liked hers piping hot. She once made a trip to Starbucks and bought me a cup of my favorite. Since it was mid-morning, I directed her to leave it in the kitchen for later. She reminded me it would get cold. Grossed her out when I told her I was okay with it!

I don't care for cold coffee much, especially if it's meant to be hot. I don't really think I like Starbuck's coffee much anyway, though I do like the Hazelnut Frappuccino or whatever it's called.

You know, I've never had any car trouble with my cars. All three have been Hondas. Sturdy machines, they are. My first car ever was a black Prelude. It had four wheel steering, which was amazing -- all 4 wheels turned, not just two.. You could practically park sideways. Now I have an Accord, which is kind of like driving a small tank, even the sport model that I have.

Today is medical day for my husband, so we're off to the hospital.

It looks like it may clear this afternoon so we'll take another shot at a boat ride, tides permitting. We'd like to get up into the inlets north of here to see if we can find a grizzly. They feed up along the beaches and in the river mouths at this time of year, and you can get some great photos. Two years ago we saw a sow and two cubs, and then a lone male. When he appeared the sow hustled her babies off into the forest until he left. At the same time, a black bear wandered down a hill to the beach, saw the grizzly male and quietly moved back into the woods.

Of course, the humpbacks are still here, and we might see a couple of those.

Fall started this afternoon. it will still be hot, but hopefully, not quite as muggy!

I brought a pot of Protein Coffee (Javapro) for everyone to sample today with a mix of caffeine and whey protein powder to keep your day going!

I'm going to grab one of those chocolate cake donuts to go with my coffee this morning

Protein coffee? Interesting. I'll have a look. I actually thought coffee was a food group all on its own.

Yeah, protein coffee does not sound very appealing! I agree that coffee is a food group all on its own!

On that note, I read something that said one of the crops most threatened by climate change is coffee!

The horror. The horror.

I read that too!

So, I looked up how to make protein coffee, and it actually looks like it might be tasty, after all

I have this really nutritious chocolate whey protein powder I bought to make John smoothies, only he prefers the vanilla flavour, so I need to use up the chocolate. Basically, to make protein coffee, you make a pot of coffee and add the chocolate protein powder, add milk, and it's a warm mocha shake. Or let the coffee get cold, and turn it into a mocha milkshake.

Could work. I might try it tomorrow morning for breakfast instead of my usual peanut butter on bread.
