By happy accident this morning I mixed two kinds of coffee bean together in the grinder and ended up with a truly fabulous cup of coffee -- half Costa Rica and half Kenya. Truly worth getting up for ! Too bad they're both seasonal varietals. Still, I'll enjoy it while I can.

hagatha, I'm sure you can conjure up something wonderful for your Thanksgiving on Monday! Our applesauce we made yesterday is heavenly. I didn't add any sugar, just cinnamon and nutmeg. We all agreed it was plenty sweet as it was because of the variety of apples. We used Jonathans and Golden Delicious. We each got 12 pints, so will have more good eating this winter!

Sunday greetings to all: strong coffee and Petit Pain Au Chocolat fresh out of the oven followed by autumnal-ish garden tasks this morning as we have warm sunshine (after several wet and misty days), probably with some reading/gaming later in the day as it is starting to get dark quite early

I must have grabbed the very last stuffed turkey breast in town, so we're all set for a nice turkey dinner. With just the two of use it's pretty basic anyway -- no pie, no special vegetables, just turkey, gravy mashed potatoes, carrots and Brussel sprouts (which I hate but he loves) and gravy. Even that will last for days and days.

Dang, that sounds SO good, hagatha! I always look forward to doing our Thanksgiving dinner just for us. Hubby likes sitting in the living room listening to me "puttering around in the kitchen" as he puts it and I dearly love my puttering around!

Mmm. I think the Petit Pain Au Chocolat that Lex hd sounds yummy!
