I think I used to have that album, but I have no idea what happened to it: however I am eying his album The Best of 25 Years to fill the gap = looks like good value with a big selection including that track! smile

Meanwhile, taking the mood up a few gears, I am still hooked on Lucinda Williams doing the Stones, especially when driving, an album which I mentioned early last year but which I have now seen on youtube

Lex I enjoy musicians who perform 'tribute' songs from other artists too. One of my favorites is Disturbed performing Simon & Garfunke's The Sound of Silence

Dan, that is a very impressive cover, especially given Disturbed's usual output (the band was new to me, but I checked them out): does this mean you are a fan of Heavy Metal?

Lex, not really...I've morphed over the years from classic rock to soft rock to Ambient, Space,
and Contemplative music now.

I hear heavy metal / hard rock most every day as my son loves it lol eek

lol I was lucky enough to have my children largely listening to my music rather than having to tolerate theirs (in contrast to my parents who had no real option apart from having to hear the house shaking to what the five of us children were listening to - or my youngest brother playing the drums...!).

Today I woke up with the final few bars of this in my head, slightly irritated as I struggled, and eventually succeeded in remembering what it was

I've been meandering through some of my CD's and started listening to these two, not to everyone's taste I'm sure but to me still great, great music, very dear to my heart. Long songs, not for the impatient:

Hagatha, those are great tracks for the right mood, and obviously not for those wanting more immediate gratification! thumbsup

Meanwhile, memories of Judy in Disguise called to mind this one in a somewhat similar vein https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCoUmMDiEhs

Not a band which which I was familiar, so I thought perhaps they were a Canadian export, but I see they are American: conveniently, a couple of their strongest tracks are available together as a cheap download on iTunes (the one you posted + Talking In Your Sleep) so i have added that to my collection.
