Butterflybabe, can he send you pictures to show how well he's doing? That would be so wonderful!

Good morning, everyone! A little bit of "opposites" today. FedEx just delivered my seed starting mix and my tomato and chili pepper seeds. And we're getting ready for a very major winter storm here this week! Depending on how far south it goes, we could get 6 inches of snow, sleet and ice or we could get 12 inches of snow!

Draclvr, we have the opposites here now, too. We have a big, bad storm front moving in with high wind, cold temperatures, and rain, and the male hummingbirds are doing their courtship loopy-loops outside in the garden in preparation for breeding.
I think we have the heat pump at a tolerable noiose level now. The only room where there is significant noise now (and only on one short cycle), is the master bath on the ground floor, but nobody ever hangs around in there so it will do.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Finally! That's been a long slog for you to get this heat pump right!

Trips to the grocery store and the feed store to stock up on chicken, dog and cat food and of course... WINE! Our snowpocalypse is supposed to start late tomorrow night. What they are most worried about is heavy accumulations of ice which will take down power lines. And out here in the country the roads may not be open for several days.

We should be getting snow tonight or tomorrow, but it sounds like it will nothing like your storm, Draclvr. Even so, I stocked up on all the essentials -- milk, coffee cream, beer and chocolate.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

No snow yet, but the sky is that ominous shade of grey that precedes a snowstorm so it could start any time.
I was enjoying a nice cup of coffee this morning when Dude decided he wanted to sit on my lap, which was nice and entirely unexpected because he is not supposed to be a lap cat. In fact, apart from his suspicion of new people, he is the polar opposite of what we were told he would be like. He and Willow were playing pawsies under the full-length curtains the other night. Very cute. I tried to get a video to show John, but it was too dark.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Maybe Dude really IS a lap kitty! It's strange that all our cats love to sit on hubby's lap, but they never come to me. Maybe because he is always stretched out in his recliner and I'm sitting curled up in a comfy chair!

Saw a great meme today. Since I can't post it, I'll try to summarize. Phyllis is Punxsutawney Phil's ex-wife. She has pink curlers in her hair, wearing a pink bathrobe and is drinking coffee while eating a donut. She claims Phil is a pathological liar. She has moved to Arizona and enjoys her mornings at a leisurely pace with no interruptions.
