We used to get to watch professional wrestling back in my boarding school days as one of the teachers was a fan: always obviously staged and played for entertainment, and quite good fun to watch! smile

Starting on the new season of Dexter. It's pretty good.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I liked the last season of Dexter. Interesting is a good way to put it!

Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

So, I'm all caught up on Dexter. That was good -- Dexter doing his best to fit in, blend, be invisible. The job, the girlfriend, great camouflage. Michael C. Hall just fit right back into Dexter's shoes. And I loved the new Passenger.

I think I'll have another run through the first 7 seasons again.

We watched the first couple of episodes of the new season but were not grabbed: perhaps we'll give it another try.

Meanwhile, we are watching a quite intriguing new 8 part show on Sky, The Rising: murder mystery with a supernatural twist.

I'm having a run through the original Dexter. I think the one thing lacking in the final series is the humour. Otherwise I thought it was good, and true to character.

Soot and I recently finished Boba Fett, Halo, and The Offer. We enjoyed them all. Starting to watch Night Sky but the first episode was pretty sad so may not stick with that one.

Son tells us we should watch Ozark. wave

I think that the humour was quite a large part of the appeal of Dexter: for us, something that dark does not really work without something to lighten the mood.

We continue to thoroughly enjoy Grimm which has humour in spades although played with a wonderfully straight face, good character chemistry and some great lines.

That said we are always on the lookout for something new, so thanks for those mentions L4L.

You absolutely should. It's very good. When I'm done with Dexter I'm going to watch the remaining few episodes of the last season. The Spousal Unit lost track during his recent hospital stay and has given up.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

After I finish Dexter and then Ozark, I think I'll re-watch Dark. I've been thinking about it for a while.

We are having something of a binge watch of Apple TV +: went to it to try Severance and Slow Horses (both good), but have become hooked on For All Mankind, a fictional reworking of the space race with great sixties cars and music, and Shining Girls, creepy serial killer stuff with some time/dimensional shift thrown in. You can sign up from month to month without getting saddled with a long contract. thumbsup

I'm a couple of years behind on Westworld. How are seasons three and four? I wasn't thrilled with season 2.

Right now I'm re-watching all 15 seasons of Supernatural. It's perfect for right now; I don't have to pay attention if my head wanders off, and there's a lot of it, so I don't have to plan what to watch next for a few weeks.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

About to try the Terminal List but meanwhile enjoying an interesting BBC offering with a stellar cast, Sherwood, a convoluted quasi thriller with political comment based on the legacy of the coal miners strikes 30 or so years earlier. thumbsup Also recently enjoyed the Midwich Cuckoos, although not without reservations.

Now back to For All Mankind on Apple TV + which continues to seriously impress us: edge of the seat stuff as while it echoes the actual space race it is a fictional twist on actual events so that you never know what is coming next. Also has a great cast and some excellent side stories (and I think I have already mentioned the cars and the music...) thumbsup

I like Chris Pratt so I need to checkout Terminal List. Like Looney I love the BBC shows. Luther is my favorite.
