A typical nothing day. I have to get out and do my grocery shopping today, even though I have a screaming headache. We have reports of one of those trucker convoys coming here and I want to avoid the traffic and noise.

Nice and simple - and fast, family!

We've found that the one meal John can eat a couple of times a week is liver and onions and mashed potatoes. Nice and simple and fast, too. For some reason it appeals to him when most other food doesn't .

I don't eat mashed potatoes but I found some good frozen potato pancakes that I've made with my liver and onions the last couple of times.

We are not that keen on frozen potato dishes but found some good frozen Dauphinoise Potatoes in our local Co-op supermarket, and elsewhere very tasty frozen Boeuf Bourguignon with Dauphinoise Potatoes, both excellent lazy options: yum!

Good morning, Danish, Donuts, and Bagels in the Break Room. Going out for a late Birthday dinner with my youngest son and his wife. No shopping today, the car is in the shop getting a fresh paint job.

soot, I will be doing walking tours and giving the "spiel" on the wagon rides. Normally visitors don't get to go down the lane, which is 1/2 mile long to the back part of the Rescue Ranch where we have seven 10 acre pastures. Longmeadow is 165 acres nestled back in the woods at the end of a one-mile driveway which makes us one of the top three rescues of this kind in the country. That includes the number and variety of animals and the intensive care they receive. It's a pretty interesting place!

Wow, what a marvelous job, location and service! It is a very interesting place! Thanks for sharing Draclvr! I'd love to work at a place like that in my next career move.

We don't save all the horses we get, but we save most of them. There is a very real thing called compassion fatigue and the employees occasionally get training on how to deal with it. We see some terrible things, but it's also so rewarding when you see them start to gain weight and grow back hair and look happy in their eyes again. I've cried when a couple of them got adopted because you can get attached!
