Good morning, oldbroad! Same weather here... the wind blew so hard last night it felt like this old farmhouse was going to take off! I'm getting in some of the Sumatra roast because I have to work our last Wagon Days at Longmeadow all day. It's still only about 48° with that wind! NOT a great day to be outside all day! It was 80° here yesterday, so it's quite a change!

Well, we had sleet this morning. Good thing I put those snow tires on.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Snow! Just in time for my drive down the coast on the highway, which is a few hundred feet above sea level and is bound to be completely covered. Looks like those snow tires are going to be needed.

Sleet, hagatha? Oh, my.. my LEAST favorite form of water from the sky!
I was so cold after being outside in the brutal high winds and 45° weather all day yesterday, I had to take a hot shower when I got home! Amazingly almost 200 people showed up for our last Wagon Days.
Today, I'm roasting a turkey for our American Legion Buddy Supper tonight. In 1923 there was a song called "My Buddy" about the wives and loved ones missing their soldiers while they were away at war. Our Auxiliary puts on a full turkey and dressing dinner for our veterans. I think we are doing 5 turkeys and one ham. Our Auxiliary president has put together a Power Point presentation with photos of our veterans including those who have passed from "back in the day" when they were first enlisted or deployed. Some of it is pretty humerous!

Good Morning Boomers. Happy Monday! All the bad weather you all have had while I've been having temps in the 70s...T-Shirt weather! Crazy, should be in 4os and 50s at this time of year! Coffee, tea and hot chocolate are ready. Have a great Monday! Gerry

Today, I'm....... doing nothing! Floors were cleaned, dust can just stay where it is and I'm not cooking for anyone!
Dark Roast Coffee for me to start my day off!

Good morning all! Blustery rainfall here, but higher temperatures than expected for this time of year, and quite a few plants still in flower: good weather for trying to find any more leaks in the conservatory.... I need the coffee to steady my nerves I see that Drac is taking a day off from the hive of human dynamo type activities she usually pursues: has this ever happened before??
Life is what happens while you're making other plans.

Lex, it doesn't happen very often once gardening season starts! But now that it's all winding down, there will be many more days off just sitting here gaming! In fact, other than some laundry, I'm taking another day off to do some work on our American Legion website.

Good Morning Boomers. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate are waiting. I'm having trouble with the "Fall behind" time change...going to bed too early and getting up way too early! Wide awake at 2AM! Running errands this morning and dentist appointment to get stitches out...(tooth pulled last week). Enjoy your Hump Day! Gerry
