Good Morning Taintedfury and everyone. With winter approaching here and the temps in the 20s this morning and snow expected late tonight I think a good book, a fun puzzle and my chair by the fireplace will be where I stay this afternoon! I have started replaying a couple old games on my very old computer (it has Windows 98)...Rhem 2 and Tomb Raider 3. It will be frigid for a walk this morning but I gotta keep exercising...getting old and not exercising sure puts on the weight fast! The old metabolism slows way down with age for sure! I've been apart of the GB Community for 18 years and so many of use started out playing games like Myst and helping each other work thru glitches to finish a game. So much has changed in gaming, but I still love going back to the old games! Enjoy your day everyone! Gerry

Snow! We have snow! Got about 6 inches of a very pretty snow last night. It's wet, so stuck to all the trees making for a beautiful sight out here in the country. At least all the roads are clear because it melted there.
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Lex, I did try a white noise machine but it was too loud even at the lowest setting. I abandoned it.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

We're in deep fog and below-zero temperatures. I can't see the water at all right now.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

You are right about that Lex!
hagatha, I keep my tv on low all night so the sound flows through my head to help keep me from thinking. If the noise machine was too loud, how about a tv or radio?
Snow/rain sloppy stuff here. I can nod off with the tv on but only for a minute or two. I have one of those light therapy lamps coming. I'll give that a shot. After that, who knows? My doctor is away until January so I'll have to hang in until then. It's not like I have much to do except watch TV and play games. Tough life!
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Morning Hagatha, Lex and everyone. It is 3:15AM here...got up at 2:30. It is cold and rainy...some areas are getting snow. Hagatha have you tried the herbal "relaxing" teas before bed? Some work better then others. I put on the coffee, tea and hot chocolate to go with Connie's goodies. Have a warm and happy day everyone! Gerry

Gerry, herbal teas for my insomnia would be like trying to harpoon a whale with a knitting needle. I have a phone appointment with my doctor tomorrow. He'll send me off for some tests. I do always have a potassium deficiency. It may simply be a blood pressure issue (of course I've been consulting Dr. Google).
Another day of pea soup fog; can't see more than about 15 feet ahead. I was going to go for a walk, but given that we have a cougar living amongst us in this neighbourhood I think I'll pass. It's a perfect setup for an ambush from a large kitty.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Morning all. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate ready in the break room. "Gerry, herbal teas for my insomnia would be like trying to harpoon a whale with a knitting needle." Hagatha at least you haven't lost your sense of humor! Hope you do get to the bottom of your insomnia. Winter is coming...stay warm! Gerry

A pedicure sounds nice. I'm off to get my hair done this morning.
We're still in the fog. It's also very cold out there, which is odd; normally we get this kind of fog when the temperature warms up. Weird.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
