I already HAVE an Amazon Prime subscription! I also have AMC which is where it was originally aired, but it is no longer available. I am so disappointed, but I'm sure not paying that much for this!

I watched the Rings of Power series and several others for no additional charges. But this one is $25 for Season 1 alone!

That's too bad. Maybe The Terror will end up on Netflix or come back to Prime.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I just finished The English on Amazon Prime and I enjoyed it.

It's nice to be important but it is much more important to be nice.

I've got Prime on a Fire Stick and a search says it's on Hulu, if it's the same show you're talking about. The one I found says it's about an Arctic expedition.

That's the one, Uncle Reg. But I don't have Hulu and won't be getting it. I already pay out the wazoo for our satellite TV and streaming!

I think that Hulu may offer a one month free trial which could be a way forward (I was exploring it to try to watch The Patient)... catrub

Draclvr, that might be the solution.

I'm two episodes in and once again, I'm impressed at how well they captured the story, the blind hubris of the commanding officers, the claustrophobia and creepiness of the setting, and the overall sense of doom approaching. Dan Simmons was an Executive Director on the project, so it's not surprising. The cast is superb.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

My son and I were both just offered a month of free Hulu. Hulu is also offering this until the 28th.

And its worth a read too, whether you are able to watch it or not.

I guess I could binge it! I think there are only about a dozen episodes?

There are ten episodes per season. The Terror is the first season. It's so gripping I've already binged it.

I should add that the ending was rewritten to have far more closure, and it's a much better ending than the one Simmons gave it. It's powerful and meaningful. On the now-defunct Simmons forum, he was proud of the production, so obviously he approved of the changes.

I would give this a 10/10.

From what I read, the other seasons are about other things, not the expedition?

Yes,. There's only one more season, a different story.

I'm going to repost what I added above since I added it after your post:

Now, a re-written ending would be much more satisfying than the one in the book. Had you read when they found the Terror and Erubus a few years ago? They also found 3 nearly perfectly preserved bodies in the permafrost.

I had heard about the finds.

Dan Simmons is a great writer, but his ending was far too open-ended. The TV show nailed it. If you get a chance to watch, I think you'll agree. Actually, maybe it's time I hauled out my copy of the book and re-read it.

I didn't see this new show mentioned yet (if it has been sorry), but I started watching Wednesday on Netflix last night and it's absolutely brilliant and original. I am hooked!

Netflix has Glass Onion which is a A Knives Out mystery coming in December.

And I do like the references to the old TV series that have popped up in the two episodes I have watched so far.

I'm not that far yet having only watched the first episode, but I've read about the dance scene. Staying away from reading about it until I've seen all the episodes!
