Hagatha there will be a spin-off with Daryl taking place in Paris, France...Carol may join in the series in the future...it was an issue with her having to move to Europe that delayed her being a part of the new show at the beginning. Flotsam I loved the series Line of Duty. Is it Season 6 that you watched?

I'll watch the spinoffs to see if they're any good.

I gave up on Fear the Walking Dead a while back. I liked the first couple of seasons but it went downhill fast, I thought..

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

It was KS. I missed it if it was ever broadcast free to air down here and it only just became available on one of my streaming services.

The must-watch now for us is Happy Valley, just back for a third and final series on BBC: we are probably going to reprise the first two series to pick up the finer nuances

I agree about Fear the Walking Dead Hagatha...I'm going to give it one more chance when it comes back...I think in February.

Just finished the first half (3 episodes) of The English. If you like Westerns and don't mind the inherent violence that comes with them, this one has some new elements, and is beautifully shot with some exceptional dialogue. Plus it stars Emily Blunt.
Am enjoying it a lot.

I finished Mad Men last night. What a fantastic piece of writing. We watched it ten years ago and were impressed, but I enjoyed it more this time through. The characters are so richly written that they feel like old friends by the end and I'm sad to see them go.

I was going to watch the last season TWD but my Prime AMC+ is a total ripofff; it shows that all 11 seasons of TWD are available on my subscription, but they aren't actually available; I can see them all, all the season and all the episodes but they aren't available for streaming -- which means I'm cancelling my subscription after only one month. Talk about a bait and switch.

That being the case, I started to watch Outer Range. Interesting.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I just watched The Pale Blue Eye on Netflix. Pretty dark but I liked the twists.

It's nice to be important but it is much more important to be nice.

It took awhile for The Pale Blue Eye to come together, but I loved it! Hubby on the other hand, took his book to the sun porch.

I was going to watch the last season of TWD but realized that I've completely lost the plot over the last few years, so I'm re-watching it from the start. It's better than I thought it would be. I guess there was a reason I stayed with it.

I would like to rewatch TWD some time too.

I watched the first episode of The Last of Us last night. It was a lot of setting up the characters and the plot, but I will definitely be watching the rest of this one.

My Crave subscription also has The Last of Us. I'll wait until the whole season has dropped so I can stream it all. It's had good reviews.

TWD is much more coherent when you stream it all at once. There were so many character changes over the years I lost track of who was who.

I thought a couple of the villains in the later seasons were deadly boring, especially those silent garbage people. I'll be interested in seeing how I feel this time around.

Great efforts with TWD. Let me know if you think it was worth it - I dropped out a while back but am interested in how it ends.
Whilst here, finished The English and it was excellent right the way through. Also watched something called Stonehouse which might resonate more with our British friends but was one of those 'you wouldn't believe it was true' stories except that it is involving a BRitish politician and a scandal in the 70s. It was told in an almost whimsical style that really worked.

I'm in the middle of Season 7 right now and I truly wish someone would put a gag in Neegan's mouth.

Oh, yeah... you had to suffer through Neegan! It gets better and then you have to suffer through Alpha. BORING! But once you get past those a**holes, things pick up.

I still don't know why they didn't just shoot Neegan the very first time he showed up beligerently at the gate duh. Given what they had done and what they knew, it was surely the obvious play - how much worse could they have made it?
Switching tack, Last Of Us is really good yes (I haven't played the game so am not comparing stories).

I know, right?

But this time through I'm really noticing the silly plot holes -- especially the food production. Where are the communities growing all that wheat for bread and those vegetables? Where's the orchard? Where are they getting milk if there aren't any cows? Hilltop is supposed to be a major food producer, but they have a few scruffy looking plants here and there and nothing more, and considering the size of the camp, there's no room for a farm.

That aside, I am enjoying it well enough. I mean, it is a show about zombies, so you have to cut them some slack.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
