Hey Gerry ,

There should be a button/key that will make Lara roll and come up facing in the opposite direction , it works faster than trying to turn her around . thumbsup

Hi Robert, You are right Lara can roll to change her direction. If you press the up arrow key at the same time as the down arrow she will roll and change direction.

But I still have trouble in the timed parts because I try and rush and Lara runs zig zag down the halls. I just need to keep calm and think this is not a timed sequence and maybe then I will do better. smile woozy smile

Oh and by the way the name of the TR I got used the other day is titled The Last Revelation. Is that one of the TR Chronicles? think

Hi Gerry ,

Tomb Raider Chronicles is a stand alone game , it's the 5th game in the series . Tomb Raider : The Last Revelation is the 4th game in the series .

Tomb Raider Chronicles

Thanks Robert. Did you say you played the Chronicles? Is it a "bug" free game? What's it like maybe not as many timed parts? wave

My memory is a bit fuzzy as it's been years since I played it , but all of the Tomb Raider games with the exception of Angel of Darkness should be very stable . There is an install patch for them , but as you are already playing TR4 without any trouble I don't think you would need it . Click on the gold colored title in my above post to link to the page where you can read about the game . Also , look on the previous page of this thread where I responded to Rusty and check out that link as well .

And yes !! don't panic with the timed puzzles as you can always try again if you don't make it . thumbsup

Hi Robert, I will check out the links you mentioned. Thanks.

I try to keep calm in the timed events but it doesn't always work.

I will have to try and find the Chronicles. Are there lots of timed parts in the Chronicles? think

I've been doing very well with the underwater swimming as long as I know where I am going.

But pulling levers underwater is still tricky for me. I never seem to be able to line up to pull the lever on the first pass. Is there a trick to getting Lara lined up fast?

Ingie, even with a saved game I feel my heart start to pound when I know it's timed! eek eek

I have just started Level 10 in TR2 next will be the Gold Levels. Does any one know what to expect in these bonus levels? Thanks think smile

I always aim Lara to arrive at the middle of the switch, then she'll float to the right location (if my aim is a bit out of place) quite quickly.

Thanks gremlin. I will try and position Lara in the middle of a switch at my next water lever. I have now progressed to level 11 in TR2. I found level 10 and the underwater part on the ship a challenge to say the least.

The Level I just started is in Tibet and it is really quite a contrast to the caves and underwater environment of the previous level. Nice change! happydance

Your welcome Gerry wave

It sounds like your having a lot of fun with this one . You'll probably want to play all the rest of the Tomb Raider games now .

If my memory serves me , in TR 4 and Chronicles , you can save your progress anywhere .

I could save anywhere in all tr's. In water, if u r a little away from the lever, keeping the action key depressed will make Lara float towards the lever.

In the Playstation 1 versions of the older games , you had to find and pick up these blue jewel things to use to save your game .

Good Morning Robert, The next TR is due out next year so maybe by then I will have purchased all the TR games so I will be well prepared for the new one!

I never thought I would enjoy action games like the TR series. I did play Broken Sword Sleeping Dragon first and I had fun with that too.

bravo wave

That sounds like fun Robert, group playing. smile Right now I am almost finished with Level 12 in TR2 and am having fun in the monastery. Things are going easier in this level because the Monks are killing lots of the bad guys for me! bravo

OH, that was fun. Lara would just step aside and leave the monks to fight with mercenaries. Robert, you are right. For PS2, I did hear that you can't save anywhere you want. I thought you were talkin about PC versions.

Hi Hugh wave

I think it was just TR 1 and 2 that had limited saves . TR 3,4 and 5 ( PS1 )and TR AOD ( PS2 ) allows you to save anywhere . smile

Are you gonna play TR Legend with us when it comes out ?
