Thanks, Mad. There are days when I feel I can't take any more, and then more comes, and somehow I just add it to the list. My 90-year old mother thinks she's going to come out from Hamilton and visit me for "weeks and weeks" as she put it , and I've had to say no even though I haven't seen her in person for 4 years. I might be able to manage a week. At least the weather is getting better now and I can go for my walks most days.

It's a lovely morning here, and for once I have no commitments.
The Humpbacks should be back any day now, so I'll be watching. They don't come through here as often as they used to; all the marine traffic on this side of the Island comes through this channel and whale strikes do sometimes occur, so they have wisely chosen to in safer waters with their babies. If they're travelling north they do come through here, though.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

And a good evening to everyone! As I said before, my life is "weeds." Spent several hours on them today until my back cried UNCLE! Watered and fertilized all the plants I've uncovered so far. Back at it tomorrow.
It was our 23rd anniversary today, so hubby and I splurged on steaks for dinner at a local restaurant tonight!
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Good Morning and Weclome to the Weekend! Hope everyone has time to enjoy it! Super strong double dark brew, hot tea and hot chocolate await. We have been having extremely high temps in upper 90s the last few days! Extremely hot here for April...windy, dry air has created high fire danger and extremely high pollen count as well as air quality alert (ozone). Will be better today by 30 degrees in the 60s. Crazy weather. Hope you all have a relaxing weekend! Gerry

Good morning everyone π... I coexist with the weeds Draclvr as they are green and fill in the gaps until I get my lawn back under control π Happy anniversary to you both!!A solid plan indeed TaintedFury, wishing youa speedy recovery and a great day tomorrow. Gerry, I believe wacky weather will be with us for some time but hopefully not too much time. I'll take you up on a double dark roast and cinnamon crunch bagel from Connie. Have a wonderful day everyone π

We're having a blustery wet day here but the Canada Geese are flying through in large numbers. It's the start of the migration.
I managed to get my deck nice and clean. Unfortunately power washing didn't get it very clean -- there was a lot of algae and there were stains from pots -- so I had to use the 30-Second. It cleans like a charm but it also bleaches, so the deck is now gleamingly light grey where it was once a two-tone gray. Once I put my carpet down and set up the furniture it'll look very inviting, with the maple tree boughs shading the back of it.
Today feels like a good day to spend in the basement pulling out old papers for the shredder.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
