I saw a 4K restoration of Seven Samurai yesterday as part of a Kurasawa festival at a movie house not too far away. I had never seen it on a big screen before so that was a treat in itself.
Its been a while since I last saw it, but give or take a thread or two I thought it stood up remarkably well. As a stand alone film I thoroughly enjoyed it, and it certainly deserves its place in the pantheon of great films.
Quantity has a quality all of its own

I had fun with Black Doves SQF  A earler series by the same creator called Giri / Hadji is well worth a watch too.

I also watched the season finale of Yellowstone. I was reading something last week about the series causing a lot of the same kinds of problems the Duttons were trying to avoid... tourism.
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

I think I'll start re-watching The Shield. It's one of my favourite shows of all time, ranking up there with The Sopranos and The Wire and Ozark.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I think I'll start re-watching The Shield. It's one of my favourite shows of all time, ranking up there with The Sopranos and The Wire and Ozark. Those are three great shows hagatha. I'm re-watching Ken Burns The Civil War now. 
It's nice to be important but it is much more important to be nice.
