No track; just streets. You can read about it here:

Today is Memorial Day in the US. There are multiple origins, but the earliest is when three women placed flowers on the graves of fallen Union soldiers who died in the Civil War. It has evolved as a day to decorate the graves of fallen soldiers and honor their sacrifice. Our American Legion Post has a parade, memorial service to honor those who gave their all in defense of our country and the Auxiliary puts on a BBQ pork steak and fried chicken dinner.

Good morning and Happy Memorial Day everyone ... a day of remembrance! USA Thanks for the update OldBroad...I wonder if the race series will continue? I am thinking the city wants to make $$ on the event. Hi Draclvr, any event near you today? ... enjoy your day. Gerry, thank you for the double dark brew as I can't think of a better way to start every day. Connie, wonderful news, here's to hoping the weather cooperates for your 4th event also! OBTW, I'll have a cinnamon crunch bagel please...thank you. Chores, projects and grilling ribs this afternoon for dinner will keep me occupied today.

USA I haven't had real grilled food in a long, long time. Last night I had some store brand, packaged, heat and eat BBQ Ribs and some fresh corn on the cob which I put in the oven together. That's as close as I get these days. It was good though smile . USA

So for those who asked, here is the listing for my current home. As you can see, it has amazing views, which I will miss. However, I need to move on. This place was paradise while John was alive, and now it only reminds me of the things I have lost and I can't stay.

(sorry - my realtor asked to remove the link so they get an accurate count of interested buyers. Send me a PM if you like.)

The new place has no view, but it is a five minute walk to a marine park that has a beach and gorgeous views. It also has a lovely garden. Something different, for my new life.

Just stunning, hagatha! I can see why you hate to leave the views! But it is definitely time to move on.

My realtor asked me to take the link out because they can't get an accurate count of interested potential buyers. Sorry. Maybe after i sell it. I'll re-post.

I got to see the listing this past hour, hagatha. It's just beautiful and I will be surprised if it does not sell very quickly.

I just finished looking at it, hagatha, it's beautiful! I'd find it hard to leave the view, but under the circumstances, I can totally understand it.

Oh my I missed the pictures cry

I've always wanted to live up in that area. Visited Seattle back in the 90s and fell in love with that area. My brother lived in Olympic National Park for many years and the pictures he shared were incredible. Such a beautiful place.

Coffee for me, and lots of it. Rough night! The cats know something is afoot. But bonus -- they have been playing together for two days.

Wildfire north of here, and visibility is really poor now.

Yes, I read 16,000 people are being evacuated from their homes in Nova Scotia. I know that's not near you but I can't even imagine that horror. sad

Hagatha, that sounds pretty lame on the part of your realtor: there will always be people looking at property sale details just out of curiosity! catrub

I was thinking that same thing Lex. Somebody trying to move to a different area may look at it. love it, and go check it out.

Lex, the listing is still on-line. Just not linked here. My Realtor just wanted to gauge interest from prospective buyers for the first week or so.

If I was rich enough, I could be a prospective buyer! Canada appeals to me; Washington appeals to my brother. Who knows. Your link here could interest somebody very seriously.

Lots of people using the link here at GB could definitely skew their interest results. I think it was a wise move.
