I see a Steam discussion forum post about this game saying that the game did not work for them without a VR headset. Marian, I looked all over the net, the reviews, walksthoughs, the discussions Board and it's website, even named wanderervr.com, and could find nothing on the game playing Standard / VR. It's only VR. Steam needs to correct it's page. There is no notice "Requires a virtual reality headset" and change "VR Supported" to "VR ONLY". Very misleading. It sounds like a very good game and the fact I have a VR setup I will get it. There are others who might think standard and end up with a return or worse wait 2 weeks to play it only to find out they can't and then have to deal with loosing $40 Thank you. Your post got me needing to find out and correct that link if wrong...Done Thanks Orion for the game on Sale heads up, as usual you do a fantastic job, and as for Veritas I totally agree with janner66's review, it is a Great game and so much fun, so far I have played it twice and later down the road I will play it again, I can never get tired of these types of games. Played 2 times huh...Well it will be the first downloaded and played
Myst - I have all the others and am trying to get to playing / replaying those. If I ever do, and they go well, I might try this version also.
Well just think....by the time you play/replay those other Myst games this excellent "state of the art" Myst should be on sale 90% off
It's never too late!

Orion, the game states VR all over the place on Steam.
Under minimum requirements - Steam VR
Under long description: Built from the ground up for VR
Under short description: Built from the ground up for VR
Under popular tags: Popular user-defined tags for this product: Adventure Action Time Travel VR Puzzle+
On their website: A story-driven time travel VR adventure
It seems like they have it covered.

Ana, I'm not sure why this game is having a problem, and of course don't know if other games are having the same problem. I see the thread in your link shows that it is an old bug but I see many games that do have the red box with this statement in it: "Notice: Requires a virtual reality headset. See system requirements for more information." And I've seen a lot of VR games that say they can be played without VR also. This game is a bit unclear.
I have no idea what the "open XR" is. I've never seen that one.

I'm finding it fairly confusing too. I don't do VR, but still... it doesn't seem clear at all.
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

I've read that "Thread" now Ana, thank you. Apparently they are aware of the issue. Why has it not been corrected by now who knows. For anyone who wants to play The Wanderer "Standard" I am sure are scratching their head. I did not mention this earlier but when a game is VR Supported, runs in both standard and VR, there should be a notice as well stating: "Notice: This title runs in both standard and VR modes. It does not require a VR headset." The Wanderer has no notice at all. It is confusing. One can see the difference between the two VR plays looking at these two games: Myst - VR Supported, plays both Red Matter - VR Only Here is a list of games VR Supported and VR ONLY to take a look at as well All in all I just did not want to steer someone in the wrong direction thinking they could play standard but in all reality would not be able to ******* Nice plan OB

I was confused also. A friend gave me this game... when I checkesd it out it showed VR but did not have the disclaimer of you must have a headset as did some of the other. Not wanting to download 30gb's I went to their discord and asked them.... yep only can be played with a headset.... guess another reason to get one... I am thinking of waiting till the updated 3's come out.
Would that I could be the peacemaker in your soul that I might turn the discord and the rivalry of your elements into oneness and melody Gibran

Steam's Point & Clicks - If all games do not show discounts click off "Discounted" and back on ******* Prime Gaming's FREE games - Scroll towards the bottom where you will see another "New game each week, free with Prime". There are quite a few games listed here for free
