Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday everyone! Got some dark brew...extra strong and breakfast tea ready to go with Connie's breakfast treats this morning. Draclvr that sounds like a lot of work to make the strawberry syrup but worth it! Hagatha when are you actually moving? It sounds like the catio will be a challenge to create. Our weather has been horribly hot and humid...finally got much needed rain last night. I've been cat sitting this week for my neighbor's cat, Pudsey. She is a very "round" British short hair...adorable kitty. Have a great day! Gerry

Gerry, we would give anything for some rain! My area has officially entered "severe drought" status. West of us in the middle of the state, it's considered "extreme drought." And two or three days of 99 degrees forecast this week. We are watering the two huge gardens like mad, but the heat is still taking its toll.
I'm taking care of my friend's two kitties in town while she's camping for 2 weeks. She also has a tiny, but active backyard, so I fill the seed feeder for the squirrels, the hummingbird feeder and make sure the bird bath is full for everyone! They love sitting outside and just watching the antics of all the critters.
Loved the smile, Lex! Stay cool, Gameboomers! Wonder how Tainted Fury is doing with the winter "down under!"
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Good Morning everyone. The usual fresh extra dark brew coffee and tea are ready. Your welcome soot! Oldbroad sorry you are still experiencing bad air quality from those Canadian wild fires. They have been burning for months. Lex that was the cutest kitty video...thanks for sharing! Have a Happy Hump Day everyone! Gerry

Yeah, we've been issued a "severe" air quality warning today because of the fires in Canada. Not as bad as yours though, oldbroad. I read it's even worse there. It's very hazy and smells like smoke outside.
Lex, that was too funny!

Good Morning everyone! Super strong brew awaits and tea too. Those Canadian wild fires are bringing bad air our way today. According to my sister Nancy in White Lake, MI they have been told to wear K95 masks if going outdoors and to keep windows closed. She said the air smells like burning plastic! Enjoy your day! Gerry

Good morning to you all.
I'm armpit-deep in clearing the house and starting to panic. I've made a huge pile of things to haul away to the dump but it still seems as though I haven't made a dent in the amount of stuff that has to be packed up and moved., especially from the basement.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Wish I was close enough to help you for a few days, hagatha!
Hubby and Guenter picked a huge bunch of beautiful green beans yesterday. So, today I will be canning green beans. He's going to make a big pot of ham hocks, green beans and new potatoes for supper tonight. YUM! At least they revised the temps from 105 degrees to a mere 99 degrees for today.
Happy Friday, Gameboomers!

Happy weekend, everyone!
I'm celebrating the giant pile of junk in my garage waiting to be hauled away on Tuesday. If I no longer want it and the Habitat for Humanity Re-store won't take it, it's getting the boot.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I struggled a bit yesterday with throwing a ton of old blank CDs in the trash. The are kind of bad for the environment, but can't be recycled. I finally just went for it and now I feel guilty! I try to reduce my plastic etc., but sometimes it's just not possible.
23 pints of green beans today! I know this winter when I go downstairs to get some to go with dinner, I will not remember how HOT I was today! 105 degrees in the garage! When I was done I grabbed a frosty cold adult beverage and hit the pool!

We do have a huge recycling depot here in town and I do make at least one trip there a week. I've managed to divest myself of a ton of old electronics and cds and wires and glass and whatnot. They take almost everything, including old appliances.
