Happy Canada Day Good morning Connie, FogFighter and everyone else who gets the chance to pop in! Dark roast Ethiopian Harrar coffee, English breakfast tea and bottled Fiji water in the Break Room. The weekend is here and it's time for chores, projects and other taskings from WOM after which I'll find time to rest and read. Have fun shopping and with karaoke tonight Connie. Good hunting for your brews FogFighter. Have a great weekend everyone!

Thank you!
I am celebrating Canada Day by not working in the basement today. Today is for packing some of my smaller art pieces and emptying the catchall drawer in the kitchen. Then it's out for lunch and over to a friend's place to let her dogs out and feed them.

Apparently Campbell River, where I currently live, is having the biggest fireworks display in B.C. tonight.
EDIT: Although come to think of it, there is a gale blowing down the Passage and I wonder if the fireworks will be cancelled.

Sunday without sunshine over here. Finally some well needed rain. Allegedly we'll get 3 rainy days. Although I did't get real Canadian beer for yesterday some US beer was available. I found got me some Pabst Blue Ribbon. That will have to do on Tuesday. Happy Sunday boomers!

Good morning everyone. Guatemalan Antigua coffee, Scottish Breakfast tea and bottled Fiji water in the Break Room. Connie, I'll start with a cinnamon crunch bagel...enjoy your 4th BBQ today! FogFighter, please send that rain our way...we need the rain over here. Hagatha, did the fireworks go as planned or did they slip due to the weather? Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!

Good Morning everyone and Welcome to Hump Day! Double dark brew and strong Breakfast tea await. It is going to be unhealthy air day today...ozone levels are up. Grocery shopping this morning then watching the Tour De France...any one else watching? Enjoy your day! Gerry

Gerry, We used to watch the Tour De France, but I cancelled the sports streaming service we used and I no longer have cable.
Today marks the end of the basement clearing, apart from grabbing a few Banker's boxes for the remaining paper. The huge haul of junk that got removed yesterday was heartening since while he was loading his truck I kept finding new things to throw in there. On Friday the Re-Store will come and remove a whole room full of extra furniture, and then all I have left is the big pieces of art.

Didn't have time for coffee or ANYTHING this morning! Had to report for jury duty by 8:00. The jury pool was 93 people! I wondered what trial was this important! Found out in the courtroom, the charges were indeed serious. And HOW out of all those people do I get selected to be on the jury?! I just sat there and didn't say a peep during jury pool questioning! It went on until 5:30 and I didn't get home until 6:00.
Back tomorrow, but at least it's a little later - 9:00.
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Interesting. I was once selected for jury duty but I had just started a new job that week and would have lost it if I'd taken the jury duty. We were told it would likely be a long trial. I would have liked to do it, actually, but I need to be working.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
