Hi all,

Well one of my girls has a lot of spells saved in her inventory but can't use any of them until I get her promoted. One is healer but the other one isn't promoted yet. She will be my dark side lich and don't remember at the moment what spell she has.

It was Gothic II's turn yesterday so didn't play this game. Today will have to continue with this one so we can learn some of those spells we have been lugging around.

Sounds like you are moving right along and will finish way before me at the rate I am going.

Well made it to level 13 and am cleaning out the Mountain Pass between Thronheim and Thjorgard.

Where do they come up with these names??

I hate harpies!!!! Well in this game they are called something else but they look like harpies.

I am finally able to use Town Portal but only in the area so far. Need Master to be able to go anywhere.

Have to go after the orbs for the banks next becuse that way we can use the Safety Deposit Boxs to store stuff.

So how are the rest of you doing?

I need to get one of my girls to promoted to scholar soon.

Don't know which spells I will use more and I do not see fireball or fly or invisibility in this game so will have to get back on which spells to use.

Got my scholar promoted to Lich now, so everyone is promoted. Sure was rough getting through the Lich Lab.

I'm in Lindisfarne now, looking for the guy who will tell me how to summon the dragon. Will probably just look at the dragon and run.

I did the orbs quest yesterday. Sure is nice having a place to store some of your stuff now.

Thronheim is one of the most confusing towns in the game. Still get lost and can't find my way around. Had to go outside once and go around to the side and come in another door to get to another part of the town.

Having fun playing with the Lich now since I've never used one in any of the M&Ms games before.

Hey way to go on the promotions Kayc.
We did finally clear out the Mountain Pass yeah and also cleared out the Mines and got them working yesterday.

Yes that Town is confusing and is like a maze but get around it we must.

I am not going to bother trying to get the Dragon this time...no way....uh uh. Run sounds like a plan.

Although in one of the cheats hints it says to go in and get the chests and then run back out so may try that.

We are now level 16 and 17 so getting stronger in damage and spells. Love that the spells get stronger as we get stronger.

I use elemental bolt a lot but it uses mana up fast.

Well onward we dance.

Hi VHL, I got a look at the dragon yesterday and decided the plan to run was a good plan. I saved right before going into the cave and found after dying a couple of times, there is something different in the chests each time you reload. I kept reloading the save until I found a good sword for my fighter.

My Mage and Lich are way ahead in levels now, so maybe a better sword will help.

Looked everywhere in Lindisfarne for the guy who could train GM meditation. Finally found him walking under the water on the edge of town. Thought we were going to drown before we got it and got back out of the water.

Well Smiley you are doing good to be at the level that you are. Don't forget that this game is the harder one of all of them so hang in there and you will make it.

I am in the chasm now and almost to the place where I get my quest item. Didn't think I would make it that far yet but we are doing ok.

All four of my people have healing which helps inbetween resting.

Don't know if I will be able to have both my guys as Paladins but will try and see what happens. If not then one may be a Ranger if the games lets me do that.

Sure glad that you don't need to worry about buying food in this game.

Well back to the chasm we go and on to other places too.

Well didn't get my item in the chasm yet. I did make it all the way through but wasn't strong enough yet to get the item and run. Will have to go back when we are.

The Isle of ashes was another place where I just wasn't strong enough for those two monsters that guard the key I need. Have to go back there too.

Oh well onward it is to get stronger first.

We are one at 17 and the rest at 18 so need to be stronger first.

That chasm is always the most difficult one

Oh Smiley is that where the armor is????
I have finished the chasm and got my item ( the purple crown) but I didn't go into every nook and cranny though.

If that is where the armor is then I should go back and search all of it. Hmmm. Let me know.

We are level 20 and could be higher if we only had money.

Boy oh Boy is the training really expensive as you get higher. Its now costing me at least 4000+ per person to train....jeez...and climbing.

No wonder we are always broke.

Well as I left the game yesterday I was in the training hall (the dungeon) to see if we could survive that so wish us luck.

Oh and I have hired a third person so that gives us 7 people in my group now. The game lets you hire 3 people to help. The last one is the Town Portal lady I mentioned above.

After all the playing I have done with this game....this is the first time that I have hired people in MM9 so this is new to me.

Have gone to the War Council and now it seems I have to get my party killed. That sure shouldn't be hard to do.

I sure have made some mistakes in giving skills out this time. Made myself some notes so I'll do better next time I play.

In the Chasm, I used feather fall and cleared out a room where I could rest and heal. I couldn't get down that slope without my party dying.

Oh getting killed isn't hard at all hehe.

I had a really tough fight to get through it.

Sorry VHL, I didn't explain very well. I'm already through the Chasm, but the only way I could make it was by using feather fall and jumping off, clearing out a room to heal in and coming back up the slope backwards to the door I needed to get to.
That area is a tough place.

Isn't it much cheaper to train in Frosgard? Or perhaps it's there you're training?

Well I haven't been to Frosgard yet so will have to try to get there today if possible.

I did not do good in the Training Hall(the dungeon) so will have to go back there.

I did get the key in the Isle of Ashes but still have to get the second ghost or whatever it is when I get back there and try to get to the room that is locked.

Doesn't seem like I got much accomplished yesterday but who knows....maybe today will be better.

I will also keep an eye out for that Armor if we ever find it. That would be really nice to have.

Are there any easy quests to do for a level 10 party? (since my party isn't srong enough to make it to Frosgard via the mountain pass)

Smiley, Have you done the quest to find the guys manuscript in Beet Hoven yet? It wasn't too hard. Anskram Keep was the first tough place I made it through.
I had to come back a couple of times to the mountain pass because I wasn't strong enough to get through.

I finished the game yesterday. I found my mage could cast the spell "Divine Intervention" as many times as needed or I would have never made it through the last fight.

My party could have trained more near the end but didn't have the money. We were broke! You sure need someone who can GM merchant in this game. My fighter who I had given the merchant skill couldn't.
Think I'll go back and see if I can kill the dragon for fun today.

Wow congrats on finishing the game Kayc.

You are doing great Smiley and I guess its just you and me now.

Well lets see....

Yesterday we installed all the bank orbs so now
we can use the Safety Deposit Boxes. Yeah!

Got rid of ice around Frosgard so the ships can now
come and go.

It sure feels good to finally use Town Portal to
go anywhere we want anytime we want and also to be able
to use Lloyds Beacon. Yeah....double yeah.

Got rid of the Town Portal lady that we hired since
she was a weak fighter.

We now have 2 Paladins, a priest and will have a mage
as soon as we get the diary from Isle of Ashes.

Still have the first 2 guys with us to help so we have
6 of us in all.

They should have not made the training so expensive in this game. We are always out of money so have to wait to train. At least the boats don't cost as much as in previous games.

Smiley, When you see the magreeb, walk towards it and it will see you and then run away. When you get back the promoter will ask what color it was.

Smiley....when you get close enough to the Magreeb you will hear a bell to let you know that you have seen it.

Well my Scholar finally got her promotion to Mage.
Leveled up and was able to level to 25 but didn't
have enough to go further then that. You guessed it.
.....need more money.

Cleared out a path to the Giants Ice Palace but
didn't go in yet. That might be next.

Got the axe or was it a hammer at the Monestary so
got that quest done.

Still need to go into the Training Hall (the dungeon)
to get that off the list.

So many quest and so little time. Sigh.

Does anyone remember how you get to fix the Maypole in Frosgard?

I found the guy that will fix it and I found the Treeman but nobody has anything to say about fixing it. I forgot what to do.

Sorry VHL, I didn't get the quest to fix the Maypole since I didn't have a healer in my party. I'll have to play using one the next time so I can do the quests I missed.

Well I didn't get the quest to do the Maypole this time and don't remember if it was a promotion or not but I do remember doing it before.

I have 4 healers in my party and I wonder how on earth did you make it through the game not having any healers?
