I might just be trying to get into both. First move is to check for UHS for the games to make catching up a bit easier.

I've been BAAGing M&M for some time. I have an original box of World of Xeen (from memory that's Clouds of Xeen, Darkside of Xeen and the special Swords of Xeen) bought from a shop back in the days when it was new. I also bought from ebay a M&M archives (games 1 to 5 - maybe) just in case I ever feel inspired to return to the beginning.

Anyone get the feeling that I've been enjoying M&M for some time now? laugh

Thanks Syd..forget about the "little working folks"

Pib,
Sounds like my collection at this point. I think I have so many different ones that include others, and then just in case those wouldn't work...got the individuals..glad I did now..
Thanks to my prodding friend..

Hi everyone. I'm still here, but I have to use our W98 computer now to reply. I've been playing the game on my W95 machine, but when I'm browsing the posts here at Gameboomers the machine is locking up on me. I'll need to use this other computer to talk to you. So if you don't hear from me it means this better machine is tied up with other people in my family and I need to wait until it's free.

I'm fighting my way through Snergles Iron Mines and those little dwarves are tough cookies. help

lol Who loves ya baby! says Kojak.

I have been a devotee of M+M since they first came out - never has there been something quite like them. I am so thrilled to once again be playing them - and once again it is easy to become so immersed that time flies by...

The gong guy is really close by to the fountain where you arrive via town portal.

Hi Ingie:

Oh yeah that's our strategy too. When things look bad, run like the wind. lol

We're level 32/33. As we move up unfortunately life doesn't get easier, because the monsters get tougher. cry

We're at level 17 right now..accidently stepped on I guess teleporter in front of the Castle and wham, in a battle with the Baa guys and those big turtles eek geez..killed a bunch and they kept coming..got some more $$$ so we're a happy little group..my wizard is really getting good..nice spells love that ring of fire..
I can't remember what's next, something I think about Bootleg..not sure we're ready for that area, but we'll take a peek and see..

Hi all,

Yep those teleporters sure surprise you the first time you use them but they bring you to the North West area of the map so once you clean them out in that area you can save a lot of walking to get there.

Sounds like you are doing great Ingie and it only gets better as they get stronger. smile

Thanks Magic, wave

I couldn't figure out if this is always a spot where you could never clean it out..like a "real live training program" . Glad to know that's not it.

It was about as surprising as my first look at the cannibals and werewolves...only these guys I can kill... eek

Does anyone know...the Town Portal gal..little places don't seem to show up...like Castle Temper(or whatever)had to use the paper map and still not sure where the dragoon hidey hole is..every time I look the game wants to take me to
Bootleg Bay...
This game is great..I am so grateful for the person that found those downloads and for Nickie encouraging me to hold onto them

We killed our first dragon last night thumbsup He was lurking in the Temple of the Snake in Blackshire - he sorta got stuck by a wall and couldn't do any damage to us so my little group just kept plugging away at him with arrows and the blades spell. Took about 10 minutes (he's a strong sucker) but we finally nailed him laugh

Hi all,

Oh yes that dragon was a pain in the you know what to get rid of this time when I played the game but with all kind of wands handy we got him but it wasn't easy.

The last time I played before this time we were able to get him stuck so if you can do that it makes it easier...sort of.

You can clear out the nasties just outside the cave door area so you can rest but the dragon also heals so you have to start all over to get him.

Way to go Syd on the kill. smile

Don't worry Ingie...you WILL GET HIM...hehe.

Nickie, I've only played the first LOL, Throne of Chaos. I have 2 & 3, but have never actually got fully into them. Something always seemed to get in the way, but they're on my shelf and will be attended to soon, I hope. Lands of lore was an epic game, and I've played it 8 times. I've never had Darklands.

Ingie: They should put a warning sign near those teleporters. eek

Syd: Congrats on dragon-slaying! laugh

Hi Skippy and Nickie,

I'm going to dare venture to the cannibal land.. eek

Hopefully, we will accomplish something there other than running backwards..

We're level 18 I think and very close to 19..which for me is amazing.

Chomp, chomp..off we go rotfl

Thank ye kindly on the congrats for the dragon slaying - laugh

We are now battling Thunder Lizards, Fire Lizards, other sorts of nasty lizards (they sure as heck look like dragons to me) and twirly dust devils. About the only thing good about these lizard critters is they carry lots of loot and I need gold (as usual).

Ingie I have that same quest to kill that dragon - don't think I'm up to it yet however. What am I saying - I know I'm not up to it yet lol

drat, the game has started crashing back to desktop, every time I use my wizard's stats..I need to see what to put points in and can't without crashing.

I even wait a bit and let the others go in..nope...

Other than that pita, we're doing pretty good..not great, but pretty good wink
