Thanks Skippy...if too strong for you, it is way too strong for me and my party of 20's ..
I'm sort of at a stand still..can't remember where I was before leaving, and am not strong enough to face anything in surrounding areas..I'm just sort of trying to figure it out a bit..

I think you almost need a daily planner in this game. I'm having trouble co-ordinating the many quests I'm working on. Have to be somewhere in March, somewhere else in a different month. It gets complicated. Sometimes I miss dates, and then realize I have to wait another year.(kind of like real life)

And when I'm finished a quest, I have to sit down and think about what to do next. I was lost when I had to set aside the Forge quest. It threw off my sense of continuity, so I know how you feel.

Well duh, is that what is going on?? I never thought the dates meant that much..I mean, I know full moon..werewolf..and I did see where I can only enchant things at noon..and the circus, travels, makes sense..but hmm..I must pay closer attention

I was supposed to be at the circle of stones on March 20th, and missed it. How quickly time passes. I've got to remember to save more often.

I also met my first Minotaur King today. Yikes! He pulverized us. scared

How well I remember the Minatour King - I couldn't do a thing with those guys until I was around lvl 35+ I believe. I think I used Meteor Shower and blades on them. Nothing else seemed to work.

I finally made a list of all the dungeons and checked the ones I've cleared out. Seems like I have all the nasty hard ones left [sigh] I need to train a bit more and then I guess I have to tackle them.

I'm still working on Calgons' Estate, something like that anyway..problem is...I have to go to town to heal and sell when needed and then, try to go back.

I tried buying Lloyd's Beacon spell, but it didn't work for my water mage..
Those gargoyles..how in the world can you kill them??
I have tried everything I can think of and nope we're toast and they're quite happy. mad

Ingie, I think you have to be a master in water to be able to use the spell.
As for the gargoyles, there are a couple different types, and they respond to different spells and are impervious to others. Meteor shower from a distance helps.

Thanks Nickie, wave

Well that explains that Beacon thing..as for the gargoyles..right now my plan of action is a lot of avoiding..makes it hard, I'll have to try and find meteorite showers, don't think I've seen it yet.

Boy money goes fast in this game, like real life..yikes

I don't think you have to have mastery in Water Magic to use lloyds beacon, if you right click on the spell you can see that it works at normal, expert, and master level. It just isn't worth it to cast at normal level since you only get one beacon and it lasts a very short time.

Ingie, is the spell showing in the spell book? If so, left click and a screen with some boxes should pop up, you click one of the boxes to "set" the beacon at your current location. From another location, click on the spell and make sure you switch the tap in the upper right corner to "recall" to see the beacon you set and click it to return to the spot.

Ingie try using Blades (it's an earth spell) on the gargoles. They can't take physical damage and will go down in nothing flat with that spell.

Arrrrgh I am so lost. I'm in the Temple of the Fire Lord and have no clue where the heck I am. I killed the guy who looked liked Osiris and got a key. I thought this was the guy that I was supposed to kill so I went back to the Fire Lord and nope - guess not. Does anyone know if there is something else I'm supposed to do here? Do I need to kill every goblin etc in this place?

Syd, the idea is to "unward" all the doors in the dungeon. It's a confusing place, so rather than try to explain I will post this link to a great walkthrough. Unfortunately it's all on one page, so it may take a while to load, but it should bring you right to the Fire Lord walkthrough:

Hi all,

Hey Ingie.....where the heck do you run into the joke of the day people? I don't seem to remeber doing this in the game and I have played this one many many times over. Hmmm.

Hey it sounds like all of you are doing great in the game. smile

HI,

Oh heheh Ingie....I never bothered with clicking on the joke thing. Hmmm Learn something new everyday. smile

Oh and the gargoyles I think I used fireball and or sparks on them. The stone ones are the easiest to kill and the other 2 I think like I said use fireball or sparks.

The ones near the town area I drew them into the town and ran around the buildings until they got stuck and then finished them off. Hehe smile You do have to be careful not to hurt the town people while you are at it though.

What's the best way to get to Sweetwater?

I'm doing the statuette quest from Twillen. According to some help files online Twillen gives the incorrect placement of the statues. I've placed the bear in Kriegspire, the eagle in Dragonsand, the wolf in the Mire, and the dragon in Bootleg Bay. I need to place the tiger in Sweetwater when I figure out how to get there. I hate to think they're all on the wrong pedestals. Does anyone know if his instructions are correct or not? If they're all wrong just wait till I get my hands on him.... mad

You should be able to get to Sweetwater by walking to the western zone line of Kriegspire or the northern end of Paradise Valley. The pedestal is in the northeast corner of Sweetwater

Your pedestals are all correct, but I don't remember having to even choose the right animal, the game did it for me when I clicked on any pedestal

Thanks Schwab. I was trying to fly over to Sweet Water but the game wouldn't let me past the border. I guess I was hoping to avoid going on foot, but I'd better just get on with it. frown

The game also won't let me move the statuettes that I've already placed, so I guess it wouldn't let me put the wrong ones in place. That's good news. laugh

Skippy, you can fly to the zone line (hit the invisible wall), then safely float back to the ground and walk through. The game won't let you fly through any zone walls.

Ingie, the diamond gargoyles are pretty much impervious to melee damage, gotta use spells to kill them

Schwab, thanks. I'll do that.

Ingie, the diamond gargoyles should have no defense against cold, fire and electrical. If I recall correctly fireball and incinerate worked pretty good.
