It's an up-and-at-it day for me, with my mother arriving Friday. Not sure what we'll do for three and a half weeks, since she's 92 and can't do much and we always run out of things to talk about after a couple of days. Better make a Netflix watch list. Any suggestions from Boomers welcome.

When my mom stayed with me for a couple of weeks, we ended up looking for old black and white movies from the 1940's. One was "I Remember Mama" about the life of a Norwegian immigrant family in 1910 in San Francisco. She remembered seeing it a long, long time ago and we both loved it.

The break room is a sad place today. My heart just breaks for Gerry and I wish her much peace and love.

Good morning everyone. I've spent the morning cleaning in preparation for my mother's visit. Dude is now frantic to get out of jail so he's allowed to roam freely within the office with the kennel door open.
Yesterday I attended a new group at the Qualicum Beach Hospice Society for people who have lost their spouses. Some of those people are also in the walking group I attend, again through Hospice, so I'm comfortable with them already. It's good to be reminded that I'm not alone, that we have each other.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
