mbday, that actually sounds really good! And I agree about the bacon grease - especially fried potatoes!
oldbroad, that soup sounds wonderful which reminds me to make more of the Hungarian Mushroom Soup I made last winter.
It's chilly here, but still no rain. It's so dry and crunchy.
Ana, that sounds like quite a day with working half a day and dashing off to a wedding as the mother of the groom!

My youngest son got married yesterday and I worked till noon and had someone fill in for me and take my afternoon clients, showered and drove an hour to get there by 3. Talk about a day! It poured constantly but we had a blast. Off to work in the rain now! So glad you made it to the wedding, BET. And that you had a “blast” 👍👍👍

I'm late to the break room this morning... stayed up much too late reading! Just put on an extra pot of that Kenyan Special Reserve coffee. I might treat myself to a good old plain cake donut this morning!
Nothing on the agenda today - kind of cold and dreary outside. Maybe it will rain!
Happy Sunday!

Sorry, folks! Ran out of that Kenyan Special Reserve, so have an extra pot of the German Fair Trade coffee from Aldi's to go with Connie's goodies.
Need to make a grocery store run in town, but guess I will get back into my house cleaning for a couple of hours. I try to do one room at a time and want to get the spare bedroom used by the Germans and the Colorado grandkids put back in order. I set up an extra single bed in there and finally got the mattress under the double bed yesterday. Need to do the floors, fold some bedding and move a small dresser back in there and I'm done. There! That's enough for the day!
How did it get to be Monday so quickly!?

Oh my Draclvr, but the German Fair Trade coffee was most excellent this morning and the perfect match with a danish (or two) from Connie's treats. Time has definitely accelerated Draclvr and I don't see it slowing down any time soon until, maybe, mid-January. Happy Monday everyone and have a wonderful evening!

Good morning everyone! It's been rain and gloom for what seems like forever, so it's great to see some sunshine! Have a happy day, all!

Ah, dark Sumatra coffee - perfect for starting out a very chilly morning!
Finished up one spare bedroom - now to start on the other one. This one will just be dust and cat hair!
We would love to have some rain and gloom here, Ana! So, so dry. But I will take the sunshine!
Happy Tuesday!

I love the Indian Hills Community signs!
More German Fair Trade coffee this morning. I need to order more of that Kenyan Special Reserve!
Another pretty, but still dry, fall day here.
Happy Hump Day!

Getting a slow start this morning! Slept in until 8:30 this morning - retirement is good! I'll settle in with a cup of soot's coffee and do my daily Wordle.
Need to make a quick run in town to get a few things to make some "apple pie." It's a drink that everyone around here makes... apple cider, spices, ginger ale and Southern Comfort whiskey! My oldest step-daughter is turning 60 on Saturday and we are throwing her a surprise birthday party. Apple Pie is her favorite - I smuggled some in for her for her wedding reception!
Happy Thursday!

T.G.I.F. Good morning everyone. I've brought a pot of Turkish coffee with English breakfast tea and bottled Fiji water for the Break Room today. This coffee is made from rich Arabica beans. I'll drop back in to grab a cinnamon crunch bagel from Connie later this morning. I was going to get my walk in this morning when the sky opened up and it started pouring...but enjoying the cooler temps. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Have a great Friday, and bring on the weekend (for those not on permanent weekend post retirement...): a bit stormy here, so indoor tasks may get done. An old joke: A priest, a rabbit and an imam go into a bar, and the barman asks the rabbit "what are you having?" The rabbit replies: "I have no idea, I'm only here because of autocorrect."

I'm REALLY late for the break room today! Had to take hubby to the eye doctor for another injection, then run in town to pick up some pig feed for the Ranch, then head down there to do a tour. This is a senior citizen group that I really enjoy, but their coordinator is a complete ditz. Last year they were 45 minutes late and this year they never showed up. Ranch manager finally called them and found out they decided to cancel - and not bother to notify us. Grrrr...
Hubby's eye is starting to ache, so instead of going out to eat tonight as we usually do on Friday night, he asked me to make spaghetti and meatballs. Sounds good to me!
And now that another day has passed, I am now officially worried about Hagatha. The last time she posted was late last Saturday night about losing all her husband's photos. I know she said her 92 year old mother who is visiting takes a lot of care, but she was still posting now and then. Hope everything is OK with her.
