happy Friday everyone. It was a busy day for me. blood draw, EKG, ETC this morning, and dog sitting for the neighbor's dog this afternoon as they have a wedding to go to. I bought an air fryer about a month ago and my SIL brought me over some apples so I decided to get adventurous and try to make some apple chips in it. they turned out better than I thought they would. I am still nervous about the air fryer but hubby brought up some chicken wings from the freezer so i am thinking I might get more adventurous tomorrow and try those in the air fryer. It is hard to teach an old dog new tricks.

I've been wondering if she was hacked and scammed but didn't want to put it in words. I sure hope not!

I agree with Drac - most unusual for hagatha to be offline for so long: I hope that both she and her mother are okay, not to forget the Feline Duo.

Other than that, enjoy the weekend everyone! Storms here have eased, so there is a fence waiting to be painted...

Afterthought: looking at hagatha's glitches post, I am wondering about a possible ransom hack on her system.

Good morning everyone and welcome to the weekend! I brought a pot of dark roast Sumatra coffee, Scottish Breakfast tea and bottled Fiji water for the Break Room. Connie I'd love a cinnamon crunch bagel. I hope Hagatha is able to recover her pictures and saves then to an external hard drive versus keeping it all in the "cloud." Chores and weekend projects are on my docket today.

Lex, a ransome attack has been at the back of my mind since I first read that post a week ago. Part of the problem was using the Microsoft OneDrive Cloud. I had suggested she pay for a backup service that is encrypted several months ago. But I'm sure with all the moving and other uproar, she never got around to it.

Conjuring up my "apple pie" mixture for my step-daughter's 60th birthday tonight! Her 4 daughters and 2 sisters are putting it together and it will just be chili and hot dogs and a bonfire in the backyard. We used to have these huge bonfire parties here with spooky hayrides this time of the year. They all started when we had a bonfire party for her 40th birthday! It didn't rain that day, it poured and poured. So no one but family showed up. We just moved the much smaller bonfire up to the gravel driveway in front of the concrete part of the drive and had the best time ever in the foggy night! We don't do them any more because they just got to be too much work for hubby with his back issues. But I miss them!

I just use a separate hard drive for my back up, but that would obviously also be a potential target for a hacker, so perhaps I should rethink my strategy...!

Lex, I think redundance is the best answer for things of great importance. Separate hard drive plus encrypted cloud backup from a reputable company.

I heard from hagatha and she's fine, just busy with her mom visiting. She will be back when things quiet down for her. I reached out a few days ago and just checked our GB support mail and saw her response from yesterday.
I'm just glad she's ok!

Mad, if you ever notice your emails if you have a PM message sent to you, the email address it comes from is a GB Support email address. It then contains a link to view your private message. If you reply to the email instead of clicking the link like it says to, it heads back to GB's main mailbox. I always ignore them since they aren't meant for us and it's a rare incidence, but I opened this one because I saw it was from hagatha and it ended up being in reply to my PM to her from the 19th. Hope that makes sense! The only access to our support mail is me.

70 degrees here today and 83 tomorrow. C'mon fall!!!

Birthday party last night was a lot of fun. We sat out in the back yard by the fire pit because it was too crowded inside. Got to see lots of family I hadn't seen for awhile and finally meet some new babies. This is all my HUGE family from my 2nd husband who passed away in 1996. My step-daughter was totally surprised and the best part of the night was when one of my step-granddaughters got engaged! She is a twin and had sworn never to have children or get married. Hah! She has a 4 month old baby and now engaged! We laughed at her because she is SO excited!

Not sure what to do with this beautiful day. Might just go for a walk in the woods behind the pasture....
