Oldbroad, I read on Facebook several weeks ago that part three of True Fear is coming but no firm release date as yet. Will let you know if I hear anything new.

Thanks, I know it's been a long time since Part 2 came out.

I finished Mystery Tales: Dealer's Choices and will be starting Hidden Expedition: The Price of Paradise tonight or tomorrow.

My word, Marian and Oldbroad, the third True Fear for real? I will wait to replay the first two until that actually happens.

Word Zen has sucked me back into its clutches. I powered through all four levels so that I could go back and make those individual game screens mine by trying for high scoring words.

I didn't know where to post this question so I figured someone on this thread would see this. The Big Fish Games site will not load! It's blank! Anybody know why? cry duh

Ok, I tried using another browser and it worked! I have been using Microsoft Wave and have had no trouble at all with it. So I tried Edge and it works! duh

The site is now working on Wave. I don't know what was going on earlier. smile

I liked The Wild Side, ob. It is something that I would replay.

Thanks for letting us know about Word Zen, 8dognight. I am a big fan of Bookworm Adventures and enjoy word games.

Glad to know the site is working for you now, Marlene.

Word Zen is a truly brilliant game if you turn off both the music and sound effects which are lamentable.

Not once have I ever turned the music and sound effects off in a game, even if they are pretty bad. When I get the chance, I will try out the demo and see if the music and sound effects are the straw that break the camel's back. wink

I've never turned off music or sound effects either. I usually never even notice them.

Glad I am not the only one. There are some good musical backgrounds out there and it always boggles my mind when someone says that they always turn the music and sound effects off as a matter of routine. A good musical background can really enhance a game, for me at least.

Oh, I don’t turn off these things, either.
I’ve never forgotten how blown away I was by its the music the first time I launched ‘The DIG’ all those years ago.
So wonderful yes

Yesterday I started Spellarium 1 (Match 3) and played it at two different times during the day. I've completed 20 chapters but I'm not sure yet whether I like the game or not.

I'll be starting Dark Romance: Water Lily today.

It took me a while to warm up to the Spellarium, Cursed House, and Laruaville games, but now I find myself starting one and playing to the exclusion of all else until I am done.

I have played that Dark Romance game but don't remember much about it. I will put it on the replay list.

I finished Halloween Stories: Written in Blood CE and not sure what I will play next.

I'm playing Hallowed Legends: Templar. This is Elephant at the height of its powers blending adventure and HO.

Oh yes, 8dognight! I replayed Hallowed Legends: Ship of Bones in the last couple of years and it too fits with what you have said above.

I finished Mystery Tales: Art and Souls tonight. Tomorrow I will start Hidden Expedition: Reign of Flames. I also finished Spellarium and am still not sure how I feel about the game. It was addicting but I'm not sure it was fun. Tonight I started Legend of Egypt: Jewels of the Gods 2. I played 20 levels and am finally starting to understand it somewhat.

Too funny, Oldbroad. I thought I was the only person who had trouble with Byzantine match-3 rules. I am relieved to learn that is not the case.

I am currently occupied with Grim Tales: Echo of the Past. I started this one quite some time ago and foolishly abandoned it early on in a fit of pique at puppetry in general and a bee smoker in particular.

Contrary to my previous too hastily formed opinion, Grim Tales: Echo of the Past is quite a good one. I don't know why I was so annoyed by it. The opening HO is a lovely attic junk accumulation set-up with Anna handing items to her daughter to sort; what followed was a run of the mill get into a theatre sequence requiring a smoker which bored me into full retreat and I never bought the game. This time, I got past the irritation and found that either the game or my perception of it improved.

Back in the opening sequence, I noticed a diary note from Richard saying he loved Anna's mother and missed her. Somehow or other I thought he murdered her in The Bride. 20 years on from that first installment I am unlikely to go back and find out but I might if The Bride will run.

Sometimes it just depends on your mood or frame of mind at the time when you're playing these games. Something that seems annoying one day is great fun a week later.

I hope The Bride will run on current systems as I have not started this series yet at all. I have the first 4 games only on disc but I'm sort of trying to replace all those old disc games. I did replace 6 of them at the last BOGO sale but I'm torn about getting CE's vs SE's. I've been only getting SE's for old games lately but with some of these I feel I should go for the CE. Without digging out my discs I'm not sure which versions they are but I probably bought whatever was cheaper because I didn't know the difference way back then.

I have been playing Runefall the last few days. The only part of the game that I don't like is the fact that the game does not save in the middle of a level. Apparently Runefall 2 fixed this issue, fortunately. Each level so far has taken about 30 minutes to play through, but the idea that I can't leave the level until I am done is a bit annoying. I may or may not continue with it (or at least, I may not play the rest of it straight on through). Apart from that one thing, it is an enjoyable game.

Isn't Runefall the one that I wanted to play in limited time or moves (not sure which it offers) but couldn't possibly get through it like that so I had to play in regular casual mode and got bored? I did end up getting in the mind set of playing it that way and finished it though. I seem to remember the levels taking me about an hour each though, again, not sure I'm remembering right. I do have Runefall 2 but haven't played it yet.

With Jewels of the God 2 I'm not sure if I'm playing in Easy, Medium, or Hard mode. It didn't give any explanation that I saw so I clicked Medium but didn't see any indication that I clicked on it. The scoring is what I'm having trouble understanding but I think I have finally figured out that I need to get "perfect" for 3 stars and I have not been getting that on all the levels. I would normally replay the levels but it took too long to figure that out.

I think I need to separate out my Match 3 games from my game listing as I cannot remember the names of them all and have trouble going through the whole list to find one to play. smile

I will have to take a look at Jewels of the God 2. Never checked that one out.

Yes, that sounds like Runefall. No way would I want to play this game in timed mode - there's just too much of it. I have been playing in casual mode.

For anyone who hasn't noticed this: go here and follow the instructions, and you end up with a code for any standard-version game for free.

Thanks for the info Marian. I don't like that it asks me to shut my ad blocker off. frown
