Kim, in your current quests, do you have one to meet Zandalor at the Dwarven Bread Inn? This is *very* very important.

Oh good, you did trigger the main quest. That's what Ingie and I were worried about. But if you are trying to meet Zandalor, you do have the main quest.

When you open up the panel to view your stats (strength, etc) are there any + signs?

What a dummy i am. I had 35 bonus points and no idea what to do with them until I was checking to answer your question and discovered that I can hit the plus signs and increase my skills. Boy talk about dense. i can't believe I didn't figure that out. Anyway I gonna increase my stats and maybe that will help.

I think I havee a glitch though because when I reloaded a last game I can't get a weapon to come into my hand. The fist on the status bar won't go away. What did i do.

I did it. I got 35 in strength and picked an axe and slaghtered the orcs, including 2 witch doctor guys. Yes! I blew up the supply train and now I'm headed up north, armed and dangerous. I fugured out that I couldn''t get a weapon in my hand because I was carrying to many things.
Thanks you guys so much for sticking with me.
Love ya
Kim

Hurray, you are now accustomed to the interface and should have no more problems.

35 Strength - better not argue at close range with you! My character's strength is pathetic - but she has mana to spare. I put more points toward intellegence and to vitality.

Now you can really get stuck into exploring. You may find the occasional troll who is tougher to beat, but for the most part, you won't have trouble. So wander around and talk to everybody.

Good for you Pib. I'm at a lev 14 and just kinda roaming around, killing things. I do have a question though. What are the bluish eggs for? Are they weapons or are they to eat. I have about 6 now. Also, im trying to poison the orc water but I when i go into the mine i can't find a way to the water. i know the way to to blow up the supply train because I already did that. Do i use the same entrance to get to the water?
I alos just bought BD. I'm hooked
Peace
Kim

I think the bluish eggs are spider mines. I used a couple of them when I realised some guys were going to come my way.

There are two exits in orc territory when you use the tunnel. The first was really close to what you needed to blow up. The second is a long haul from the well you need to poison. When you get out of the mine, pause the game, bring up the map and look for a flag to the east. Once you unpause the game, run for the flag. I found a potion helped me a *lot* doing this bit.

You're doing so great for your very first RPG!!!

I could never get the eggs to work for me..good luck if you try them.

Sounds like you and your character are having a wonderful time exploring..fun isn't it.

How did you and train blow-up go? Remember, the dark potion is invisible and will come in handy, very handy in Orc country

The train blow-up was pretty easy. I did it in 2 tries
What is the dark potion? i don't think I found that yet.
Also, when you fight a lot does your weapon lose effectiveness?

Both your weapon and your armor gets damaged as you fight. But fear not, the local smith can repair it for you. You'll find the smith near the Ars Mysti(rest of name forgotten) teleporter. His name is Geoff and he's hot. When you follow him to his shop, you can use the repair (hammer) button at the top of the trade window. Anything that needs to be repaired will have a red price rather than the normal colour. He'll tell you how much it costs to repair. He can also identify any mystery objects you may be carrying.

Look on the map, north of the orc supply train and almost the east most edge of the map. There should be a flag.

Hi Kim, wave

Sorry, real life so I didn't get in to check on you.

The dark potion, which you should have found by now, is invisble. When you drink, no one can see you.
So, if you have 2 bottles..drink one..sneak up to the well. As soon as you drop the poison in the well, they'll see you..but drink the 2nd and get out of town. You can try to stay and fight; but it's quite a swarm of them.

Did you find the well?

luck

Ok Ingie, I'm dense. If the potion is invisible how do I find it? Where can I find it?

I'm doing well otherwise. I'm a level 17 and i've solved a lot of quests, including wiping all the trolls in their lair and the ghosts in the church. Havne't figured out how to use the bows yet and I only have 3 arrows so i don't want to waste them.

I think what Ingie meant was, the potion (Dark Shadows, I believe it's called) will grant invisibility when you use it, you become invisible. The length of time you are invisible depends on the size of the potion.

That's odd. I thought in Divine Divinity you didn't actually need arrows for your bow. I never had trouble with it.

You're correct Pib. You just need the weapon, apparently you have an endless suppy of arrows to use.

That's right--that's right and those arrows you do find don't do any thing--I think I ended up selling them.

Its silly, I've only played 4 darkside games but already I am getting them mixed up. Lotta help I am!

You're doing a grand job Pib. All you need to do in the RPG game is remember the nuances and you certainly have.

Oh good then I'll try the bow. I finally poisoned the water, killed a lot of orcs too but there were too many so I couldn't pick up goodies. Maybe I'll venture back and get them. I alos got the invitation to the castle. I'm a lev 20. Is this a good time to go or should i work on getting all the teleporter scrolls?
Also, what are your favorite skills?
