Good morning. Just put the coffee on, but I have to run in town shortly.
Connie, that sounds wonderful! Everyone I know who has seen the Trans Siberian Orchestra loves it!
Only 4 days to Christmas! I took all the Colorado grandkids' gifts out there with us last weekend. My son, DIL and granddaughter who live here are coming for dinner Saturday. Our other granddaughter is in the Army and deployed to Poland right now. And our grandson will only be home for a short time and we may or may not get to see him. When they are all grown up, it's hard to get everyone together!
Happy Thursday!

Had a great time at the party last night but unfortunately Willow is back to howling at my door early in the morning and I'm absolutely exhausted. She just howls louder and louder until I wake up.
I'm off to the spa for a pedi and then maybe get some Indian take-out for dinner tonight.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Hagatha, I'm so excited! I just read in the local paper that we are getting a real live Coffee Roastery in the town next to the Missouri River. It's only about 10 miles away and should be open by the end of the first or second quarter of next year. I can't wait!

Hey Ho and good afternoon everyone. Draclvr, the coffee has kept me going with a couple of Connie's bagels ... retirement does not start until New Year's day the 1st of January. Still plugging away at work and it's a task cleaning my cube area, shredding documents and electronic filing to our sharedrive for others to carry the torch. That coffee roastery sounds marvelous! Hagatha, enjoy the spa and dinner this evening. Thank you everyone ... retirement will be another adventure for me.

Draclvr, having a roastery nearby is such a wonderful resource. The one we have here is so very good that I really look forward to trying new roasts. They have over 25 different medium roasts alone. I just bought a bag of beans from Kenya -- very expensive but boy do they smell good.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Hagatha, it says they will be importing from Columbia, Mexico, Brazil, Guatemala and Ethopia. I am so excited!
The coffee is hitting the spot this morning, soot! Have to make a run to the neighboring town to pick up our Christmas rib roast... Don't even want to think what it's going to cost! But we only do this once a year. My son and his family who live here will be coming to eat with us tomorrow. Making an apple pie and a cranberry/whipped cream side today.
I appear to have picked up a lovely sneezy/drippy head cold on our travels, so I'd better use gloves and mask up while I'm cooking as I'm a walking virus factory right now! Grrrrr.....

mbday, are you doing your annual holiday rib roast this year? I picked mine up today. Good thing I don't have a mortgage or I wouldn't be able to pay it this month! LOL! Actually, it's cheaper than it was last year.

Mmmm. Coffeeeee.
We had sleet last night, much to my surprise since it had been pretty bright and clear all day. It got me out of having to drive to a gathering I wanted to avoid anyway, which was good -- I don't like the idea of driving on icy roads in the dark.
I'm off to Home Depot and Costco today. Boring but necessary.

And I'm just now sitting down with a glass of red! Whew! No time for coffee this morning. Doing Christmas dinner for my son, DIL and granddaughter today. Good thing I did the apple pie, Brioche rolls and cranberries yesterday! Normally I would have plenty of time, but granddaughter has to work at 4, so we're eating at 1.
Well, that's all the break I get! Back at it!

I ditched the Home Depot plan in favour of a very long walk in the 'hood, followed by another long walk in the 'hood. It's a lovely day, bright and clear.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Sounds like a much better plan, hagatha!
Our early Christmas dinner was fabulous, but I'm almost too tired to finish cleaning up! Hubby did most of it, but I still have some things to put away.

Good morning, everyone. Nothing exciting going on here except for a trip into town to get some food. I'm having a neighbour over for drinks and munchies tonight since we both have nothing planned. Tomorrow my sister and her husband are visiting overnight. We'll probably go for a walk and eat something non-Christmassy since neither of us wants to cook.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good morning! Fogfighter, I'd definitely like to try your Nordic style crossword puzzle in the Puzzling Delights forum. Perhaps my Norwegian side will figure it out quickly! Pretty much nothing on the agenda for me today. Hubby is going in town to his son's house for a little Christmas Eve visiting. A new baby nephew will be there, so I am staying far away. I am a walking virus factory right now and don't want to give this junk to anyone else!
