Welcome back, connie! Sounds like being Queen for a day agrees with you! How fun!
Got some of that good Kenyan Reserve coffee in the mail yesterday, so put on a pot! Smells so good!
The snow didn't amount to much, but the temps have dropped and we might get some tonight that sticks. No league bowling this week, so I can just stay home and watch it!
Happy Thursday!

Yet another rainy, windy day. I'm glad I took advantage of the nice days we had.
I finished my Kenyan coffee beans yesterday. I think I'll have to back and get some more, or maybe try another one of the speciality seasonal roasts they have. My Christmas present to myself.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

It's very quiet here today. I had a walk planned for the morning but it is a truly foul day out there. I think I'll stay in and make soup instead.

Man, it is quiet in the break room today! Just sneaked in a for a minute. A fairly unpleasant day here too. Some snow last night, but it didn't stick and is gone now. So, just wet and cold. Good day to turn on the gas fireplace and stay home!
What kind of soup are you making, hagatha?

I had three chicken carcasses in the freezer so I made a big pot of stock. I'll go through my recipes tomorrow and decide what to make, but it might just be good old chicken soup with barley and carrots and leeks, maybe some mushrooms.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Thanks, Fogfighter! I made hubby his big biscuits and gravy breakfast this morning, so I'm late to the Break Room. Strong and black - just the way I like my coffee!
Cold, but sunny here today.
Hagatha, I love to make my own bone broth too - SO much better than the stuff in the store. It seems like a good day for a nice pork shoulder roast in the crock pot with a jar of sauerkraut all afternoon! Good German food for a cold day!
Happy Saturday!

Soot, do you play D&D board games?
My sister and her partner Seymour are big board game players but they've never played anything like a D&D. I was looking at the Skyrim board game yesterday. It looks rather intriguing. I thought I might grab it and one of the expansions for it, and see if they want to give it a try.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

No hagatha we don't play a D&D board game, we play a fantasy tabletop role-playing game (RPG). We do like and play many other board games.

I'm up far too early this morning so I'll definitely be having some of that coffee. Not likely I'll be awake for midnight, though -- not that I have anything planned anyway.
We're having unseasonably warm weather. Not a snowflake in sight. No freezing at all. It hardly seems like winter.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

And I'm really late to the break room, so it's nice to smell Fogfighter's coffee! Not much on the agenda today. We would have gone in to an afternoon party at a local bar, but they sold out of tickets while we were out of town. Last year it was warm enough that we all mostly stood around outside on the patio! This year, not so much. Right at freezing right now. I will make a nice dinner for us tonight and we'll call it good! Tomorrow morning we will go in to our American Legion for a steak and Bloody Mary breakfast. Happy New Year's eve!
