Steam and GOG's summer sales have ended

Thanks Orion! I probably will not be able to look much at Steam for a day or two due to the slow load times. I always have slow load times with them because they always have some event going on. I wish there was a way to shut off all their "live" stuff. I can hide it but it is still going on behind the scenes slowing things down for me.

Sorry to hear you have that problem. They were turning Steam's sale on so I believe that is why I was experiencing the long load times. The pages are loading fine now, at least for me they are. I take it you have done all you can on your end with the slow download speeds

I haven't gone there yet. I'm building up the suspense .

Edit: I managed to get through all of the Steam home page. I hate the scroll bar but I did it and it didn't even take very long. Seems like they have less games showing there this time around. I cannot, however, get my wishlist to load! Oh well, plenty of time. I think I will check out your links now, Orion.

Oh, man, you guys, a couple years ago, I got transferred from being a computer tech to being in the finance department and it's messing with my world view. I say that because I saw the title of this thread and thought it was going to be an analysis of adventure game sales trends and how that affected the companies' viability and whether the industry was in trouble or not.

I've spent some time on EPIC oldbroad. I just picked up Spirit Castor: A Father's Trust. This is the first chapter of the series. I think this looks good. Another is EscapeGameShow: The Timeline. Epic has a nice "games launcher" where you manage all purchases. Purchasing and installing games are a breeze. I have a few of their games. You should set up an account
