Have you looked in Carol's notebook for any hints about this?

Otherwise, let's wait and see if another player can be of assistance.

Stuck again. This time Carol has to find something that'll enlarge the text on a note she found. It's supposed to be at home. I've looked in every room and still don't know.

I've stared at the computer and can't figure out what to do with it. It needs a disk or something but I don't have one. Edit: It wasn't the computer. I found the magnifier.

Hi dianne, I moved your post to the Carol Reed thread. Penny Lane in this thread already asked about the judgement ring and then said she found it just by wandering around.

I would explore the area thoroughly, but hopefully someone here can help you out if you remain stuck.

If you go back to the very beginning of the area, where the bicycle is: Go right forward times, and then turn to the right. Continue forward a few steps , and then turn right, forwards, left, and forwards a few times.

Help! I am stuck already. I am trying to help find some information for Stina about her friend who was attacked at Quill lake. I have searched over and over to try and find some clues. So far I have only found a cigarette
pack. I need some help in finding the bench where Stina's friend sat.

Until another player comes along who can provide specific directions, I can only say to make sure that you explore the different locales carefully and to check Carol's notebook to see if there are helpful hints for your problem. Using the spacebar to reveal all available hotspots can also be very useful.

Thanks, Marlene! And thank you for not posting spoilers - it is only allowed here if you use spoiler tags so that people can choose whether they want to read the text or not.

Hmm... Am I supposed to use spoiler tags? I didn't do that in my last post and haven't been banned yet. Wake up moderators! lol

Here goes:

Leeana: Enter the Fiskeby Crane area from the map. Walk forwards until you get to the crane. Opposite to the crane, you can walk right into the greenery. You'll find the bunkers there. But your question implies that you've already found the metal box you mention. In that case, you have it in the inventory. The journal will give you help on how to open it.

Penny Lane, just use the "Use Full Editor" option at the bottom of the post. In the ribbon there you will find spoiler tags! Just highlight the text and click on the spoiler tag!

Now it's my turn to get stuck!

At the train station, I have measured the monitors, but unable to exit because I have apparently not found them all.

There are two monitors outside the station, on either side. Maybe you haven't found them?

I'm curious because I don't have the game, but I thought there was an in-game hint system?

My goodness, don't be sorry, Leeana! I get hopelessly stuck in these games too! I was just curious if the hint system worked well or not. This is why we have this forum - so we can help each other get UNstuck!

Carol has gone home to get a battery, but she has looked in every room, and can't find one.
Time to leave her there, and go do something else. See ya tomorrow. wave

Edit: I just memembered where Carol keeps her batteries. (I even looked it up to see if that was a good idea; it isn't)

I have found a metal box in one of the bunkers but I don't know what to do with it. Also the notebook still is telling me to look in the bunkers. Am I supposed to find something else? duh

The hint system has always worked well for me - although I will say that it is also good to have patience and a decent sense of direction. wave12

For the first time in some years, I did not test the latest Carol Reed game.
A bit of an ad here sort of, tomorrow Saturday I will do a stream and after it's done it will go to youtube and hopefully help someone lol
It starts at 7 pm swedish time so that's 6 pm UTC. (link is below here)
Anyway, it will be interesting to not have played it beforehand but will be very fun as well for that same reason.
So I can't help anyone yet but as people have said, the hint system is awesome and I know I will use it a lot lol

I don't want to give anything away, but does anyone have a clue how to smooth a crumpled bit of paper? I'm at the Shooting Range and at a complete stop!

Here's what you need to do Dianne wave

Here are the directions to find what you are looking for.
1. From the entrance where your bike is walk to the 1st picnic table
2. follow the path from there to the 2nd picnic table
3, click once past the table and click left
4, Pick up the red package on the ground.
5. Open the package and a telephone number is in there. The notebook will then tell you to identify the number. dial the number on your cell phone and go on from there.

Hi Bristol, hopefully another player will be along to answer your question soon. And be sure to check Carol's notebook for hints. wave

When posting a question please state what the journal is saying where you are right now. It makes it much easier to determine what to do next.

I'm not sure exactly what puzzle you are referring to, but I'll guess it's the one involving a shooting target. If you look at the target practice-figure in the small house at the shooting range, you will see that the numbers 3, 7, 8, and 1 are placed slightly higher than the rest.

No one answered my question so I will ask again.

I have found a metal box in one of the bunkers but I don't know what to do with it. Also the notebook still is telling me to look in the bunkers. Am I supposed to find something else? duh

Mikael answered you above, and asked you what it says in your journal/hints exactly.

Penny Lane, Mikael addressed your question by asking "exactly" what the journal said.

Thank you, Mikael! I was making it too complicated! Onwards and upwards (and sideways and left and right!)

Oh I missed that! As I said I found the metal box in the bunker and haven't found anything else. After finding the box the journal still says "I'll begin examining the first room of the bunkers closely". I also found a drawing but the journal still reads the same thing. Is there still something I should find? think

The football game is not in the cabin. Go to The Stairs area.I can't give complete directions in the area but while climbing one of the staircases you will see the football game through a railing on one of the stairs. Then you will have to find your way to the game.[spoiler]

Stuck again! I am at the Sulphite Factory grounds and have found the wooden box on the shelf with the wrinkled paper inside. The paper shows a lot of numbers and a picture of a math compass which I have in my inventory. I cannot figure out what to do with it! the journal gives no hint. think

The wrinkled paper is found somewhere else. What is the journal is saying where you are right now?

dianne, Marian is going to have to move this post into the Dead Drop subject again. Try to remember to post questions about the game in that subject. It makes it so much easier than to have several sepaerate posts!

What is the journal saying where you are right now?

If you are by the Fiskeby Crane, you have already found the keys in qustion. They are not by the stairs, but at the Bridge Lookout.

To find the bunkers by the Fiskeby Crane, turn 180 degrees when you're facing the crane, and just continue forwards.

The journal says that I must check what is on the shelf which I did and found the wooden box. The wrinkled paper has a lot of letters and a picture of a math compass . I got that from the safe in Oblav's cabin. I was wondering if that paper is connected to the wooden box? After looking at the box the journal still says that I must check what's on the shelf.

Oh my gosh! I didn't see the paper on the lower shelf! I didn't even look for another shelf! Now the journal says that I have to go to the Sheep's habitat. My stupid goof up again! I should know by now after playing so many CR games that there is always more to things to look at before I ask for help! crazy So I am good to go! Thanks Mikael! Love your games! wave

If you just use the space bar to reveal the hotspots in the scene, I'm sure you'll be able to proceed.

Even though I just played it, I always get insecure when answering a question about it lol.
But when you're on the bridge
look on the sides of the bridge, in those small like balconies or what they might be called. Can be hard to see the items so maybe use space when there

Maybe Linda doesn't have the Bridge Lookout on the map yet. Linda, what does the journal say where you are right now?

Hope this help you keep doing, dianne! YES this is the right place! Just keep putting your questions in this thread so they are all in one place instead of creating a new one each time. Sounds like you are moving right along!

Thanks, Mikael!

The football game is not in the cabin. Go to The Stairs area.I can't give complete directions in the area but while climbing one of the staircases you will see the football game through a railing on one of the stairs. Then you will have to find your way to the game.[spoiler]

Football games? I don't remember that. I just finally finished the game. I used the in game help 3 times. I didn't want to look in this thread because I didn't want to see information about areas I hadn't gotten to yet.

I'm near the end of the game. I have the hook and the hint systemis saying look in the barn but I can't seem to navigate my way to where i need to get at the tube. Am I at the right place. There's a dilapidated building plus a red barn. I've found the navigation and puzzle solving on this Carol Reed super hard or maybe I'm just getting old! Can anyone help.

Hi meryl, I was just thinking about you the other day and hoping that things are okay.

Until someone else comes along with a better recollection of things than I have, might I suggest that this video walkthrough here possibly might help answer your question.

I take it that you have seen the tube from inside the barn? If not, it's at the right end corner. After that, when standing in front of the barn, where the entrance is, just turn to your right and continue forwards.

Thanks Mikael. I was at the wrong location! I'd been on holiday and picked the game up in the wrong place. Your reply made me realise.

On my way now.
