Good morning Gerry, Fogfighter and everyone. Hey Ho Gerry, the Wide Awake double dark brew is a marvelous way to start the day. And then will grab a treat from Connie when she comes. Have a great day y'all.

Good morning! Grabbing my coffee and settling in front of my computer. Last night we had extreme fog.. I couldn't even see from the house to the barn. All the ice is finally gone and good riddance!

Only thing on the agenda today is a visit to the dentist for a checkup and cleaning.

Happy Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday to you all!

We had the fog last night too and the rain all day yesterday, freezing rain the night before. Glad I don't have to go out anymore.

I hope you enjoy your Myst playing, Gerry. It is downloaded on my computer waiting for a replay and I am trying to decide between games right now. Fogfighter, I really liked Riven when I played it years ago.

Hoping to catch up on some internet stuff today as I was unable to get on much yesterday.

Good morning, all.

It's been raining here constantly. It turns out the modern gate controls that use a reflector and a laser eye get fogged up and the gate won't work. Apparently I need to apply a de-fogger to the reflector and wipe it down regularly. I can see myself running out in the rain in my dressing gown at 11 pm to wipe everything down when I want to close the gate. Fortunately there are no houses immediately opposite mine, just a line of large trees.

Been messing around with my keyboard for a couple of days. The "e" key was misbehaving, not typing at all or double-typing. I think it must have been a bit of grunge or dirt; it seems to be working now that I've cleaned under the key a bit with a very sharp pointy tool that came with the cleaning kit I bought on Amazon. Note to self -- stop eating at the computer! lol

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

hagatha, I eat at my computer all the time. Every now and then I pick my keyboard up and turn it over and shake/bang it on my table. My monitor pays the price though when things seem to squirt from somewhere.

Oh, same here, hagatha and oldbroad! I know it's a terrible habit, but I like to read the newspaper on-line while I eat lunch!

Anyway, I can confirm that the small pointy tool did the trick and the "e" key is now acting normally.

The DDWAC is just what's needed to start the day.

And congrats to those of you who still have original boxes. I'm afraid I have over the years lost all my original boxes.

Happy Thursday everyone wave

Good morning everyone. Gerry, the double dark Wide Awake coffee is much appreciated this morning. It'll be nice to have the coffee with a cinnamon crunch bagel from Connie. We have original boxes too FogFighter...I imagine one day they will go the way of the Dodo bird. The wet days continue for us. Stay warm and have a great day everyone.

Gads, what a miserable day! Cold, foggy, rainy... So, to cheer myself up, I ordered all my tomato and pepper seeds. I actually start my pepper seeds in February because some of them take 3 or 4 weeks to even germinate.

League bowling tonight, so one bright spot in the day!

Happy Thursday!

Good morning all, we have been having some stormy weather here, but fairly mild temperatures apart from one day when the hail was vigorous enough to look like snow on the ground: fortunately yesterday was calmer when I had to fly off the Island for a day trip!

If you really want to have a sticky keyboard, try spilling well sugared coffee on it... (recoverable by rinsing with water and leaving to dry somewhere warm) catrub

Gerry, the coffee smells amazing this morning. Another dreary, drizzly day today, but at least it's not so terribly cold.

Lex, I would have a heart attack if I spilled something like that on my Razer Black Widow keyboard! It is definitely not waterproof, so a good rinse and dry wouldn't save it.

Enjoy your Friday, everyone!

I’ve been playing the NYT Wordle puzzle every day since it started - but it’s suddenly disappeared 😯

Does anyone know if it will be coming back ??
