Good morning! Grabbing my coffee and settling in front of my computer. Last night we had extreme fog.. I couldn't even see from the house to the barn. All the ice is finally gone and good riddance!
Only thing on the agenda today is a visit to the dentist for a checkup and cleaning.
Happy Wednesday!

Good morning, all. It's been raining here constantly. It turns out the modern gate controls that use a reflector and a laser eye get fogged up and the gate won't work. Apparently I need to apply a de-fogger to the reflector and wipe it down regularly. I can see myself running out in the rain in my dressing gown at 11 pm to wipe everything down when I want to close the gate. Fortunately there are no houses immediately opposite mine, just a line of large trees. Been messing around with my keyboard for a couple of days. The "e" key was misbehaving, not typing at all or double-typing. I think it must have been a bit of grunge or dirt; it seems to be working now that I've cleaned under the key a bit with a very sharp pointy tool that came with the cleaning kit I bought on Amazon. Note to self -- stop eating at the computer!
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Oh, same here, hagatha and oldbroad! I know it's a terrible habit, but I like to read the newspaper on-line while I eat lunch!

Anyway, I can confirm that the small pointy tool did the trick and the "e" key is now acting normally.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Morning Fogfighter, soot, Connie, Draclvr, oldbroad, hagatha and everyone. Happy soot to hear you and everyone are enjoying the double dark Wide Awake coffee...its my favorite...just put on a fresh pot for you all to enjoy! Connie I so enjoy your bagels in the morning with an egg. Fogfighter, Riven is a great game...I still have the original boxed version...I should try and see if I can load it on my old computer...it would be fun to play again. Like you hagatha, Draclvr and oldbroad, I too eat at the computer and now have a few keys that are "slow to respond". Happy Thursday to you all! Gerry

Gads, what a miserable day! Cold, foggy, rainy... So, to cheer myself up, I ordered all my tomato and pepper seeds. I actually start my pepper seeds in February because some of them take 3 or 4 weeks to even germinate.
League bowling tonight, so one bright spot in the day!
Happy Thursday!

Good morning all, we have been having some stormy weather here, but fairly mild temperatures apart from one day when the hail was vigorous enough to look like snow on the ground: fortunately yesterday was calmer when I had to fly off the Island for a day trip! If you really want to have a sticky keyboard, try spilling well sugared coffee on it... (recoverable by rinsing with water and leaving to dry somewhere warm)
Life is what happens while you're making other plans.

Gerry, the coffee smells amazing this morning. Another dreary, drizzly day today, but at least it's not so terribly cold.
Lex, I would have a heart attack if I spilled something like that on my Razer Black Widow keyboard! It is definitely not waterproof, so a good rinse and dry wouldn't save it.
Enjoy your Friday, everyone!

I’ve been playing the NYT Wordle puzzle every day since it started - but it’s suddenly disappeared 😯
Does anyone know if it will be coming back ??
