Sorry to hear your favorite coffee shop closed Hagatha ... that's a bummer. We had a similar experience with our favorite restaurant. Maybe you'll find another good coffee shop. I remember getting the measles and mumps as a kid before those vaccinations were available...but we had the other vaccinations.

Yes, It was a great place. I think they may have opened up in Courtenay, which is about 10 minutes away.

Good morning everyone. I'm up very early this morning; I forgot to turn the heat down last night and the sound of the furnace kept waking me up. I thought get all my day's chores done early and spend the afternoon reading.

Good Sunday morning! Another warm, but very windy day. I'm really ready for the wind to just STOP!

When I turned on my computer, I saw it was a friend's birthday. Oops! That means that today is also our 24th anniversary! I asked hubby if he realized it and neither did he! We had a good laugh about it! We did steaks on the grill with potato salad and fresh asparagus last night, so I guess we already celebrated and didn't even know it!

Heading back out to work on the perennial beds today.

It snowed here yesterday and today we are having what they sometimes call a wintry mix. Most of the rest of this week is supposed to be in the seventies. I am ready for some spring days.

Draclvr, in our 40 years together, John and I never once remembered our anniversary (the date i arrived in Vancouver from Toronto, with my cat Moggy in tow).

LOL! Then I don't feel so bad, hagatha! We have remembered now and then, but many more "forgets" than "remembers!"

We always remembered a few days later, when one of would exclaim that we'd done it again.

We're having some lovely Spring weather now. I'm looking forward to having dinner on my covered patio. It's got lighting and of course the sounds of the waterfall and birds. It's bright enough with the lighting that I can read out there after dark. My landscapers were supposed to start last week but didn't. I guess they forgot to add me to their schedule.

It was officially too hot for me today in my house, outside temp around 80 degrees F. Window didn't help.

Good Monday morning! Hagatha, that dinner on the patio sounds heavenly! Grabbed my DDWAB and ran a package down to the horse rescue already this morning.

Lots on the agenda with continuing to work on the perennial beds, hosing all the chicken poo out of the garage, and somewhere in there a run to the grocery store!

It was 84 here yesterday, oldbroad, and I agree - too warm in the house! We have ceiling fans and they help enormously.

Good Monday afternoon everyonel! Nothing on my agenda, as usual. Drac, we have 4 ceiling fans but only one of them works these days. I have some regular fans around that I use sparingly.
