Good Tuesday morning! Gerry, finally some nice weather for you after all that rain. Yes, once it hit's the 90's we turn our AC on too. It's still cooling down at night, so the mid-80's are OK for us.
Mopping my kitchen floor - for the 4th time! Now, it REALLY needed it, but when hubby knocked 2 cups of sugar water I had mixed up for the hummingbirds on the floor, it was a mess! So at 10 pm, I gave it a final mopping and let it dry overnight. This morning, I mopped it one more time! NOW, I have to start wiping down my kitchen cabinets which are also covered with it! Let's just say that his "situational awareness" is not the best! It's also why he's broken half my wine glasses! Oh, well... at least the floor is clean to within an inch of its life now!
Had a storm last night, so it's cooled off a bit. But still warm and very windy... so it's back out to the yard to keep working on getting weeds and debris out of the perennial beds.
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

I have to say that the Pilates I'm doing is very challenging but it's focused on both strength and especially balance, since it's Ball Pilates and many of the exercises require balancing on the ball. I think it will help me as I get older, help keep me from falling.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Morning Connie, soot, Fogfighter, Draclvr, oldbroad, hagatha and everyone.. Wide Awake double dark brew is freshly brewed and awaits you all. Draclvr what a "sticky" mess to clean up!! It will take forever to get it all cleaned up! Hagatha, I find doing Tai Chi really helps with balance and it is easy to do. The rain will be back here later today. But I will be able to walk this morning. Enjoy Hump Day! Gerry

Good Morning Connie, soot, oldbroad, hagatha, Draclvr and everyone. Wide Awake double dark brew is ready. It's raining here again, nothing new. I may get a walk in later if it lets up. Been having internet and landline issues for a while. Repairman found a broken wire up the street that was causing my internet to drop on and off and "buffer" continuously. Still had a "hum/buzz" in the landline and they connected service to a different wire on the pole to fix it. So far everything is working. There is no fiber optic service where I am, but it is coming. That is supposed to be better then the 55 year old copper wire that my internet and phone are on. The phone company has not maintained the "copper" wire and only fixes things when they get trouble reports. I have been told they will no longer maintain the old wiring and I will have to switch to fiber optic service when it becomes available or pay extra to maintain the copper wire if I choose to keep that service. Hope you all have a stress free day! Gerry

Good morning everyone. Just about have the routine down for Chief (Great Dane), Tootles (rescue cat) and Obi (1&1/2 year old Newfie). I am so ready for your wide awake double dark brew Gerry. And looking forward to a donut or two from Connie. Sure hope everything keeps working for you Gerry...and you get a walk in later today. I'll be headed out shortly to get my morning walk in with Chief. Have a great day everyone!

Gerry, I sure hope you get that fiber optic cable laid in the near future. That old wiring sounds like it is nearing the end of its life. The only way I can get broadband internet out here in the country is from a tower. It's wireless, so there are not many issues except now and then if the weather is really bad. My tower is only 1/4 mile away so I get really fast internet!
Routines with the critters is important, soot! If I am off by even a few minutes, Bella the Bloodhound lets me know it's time for her Milkbone treat at noon or supper at 5 pm!
Wind finally died down, so thought I was going to be able to get out and spray fungicide today. Nope, no point. Heavy storms moving in a just a few hours, so there would be no point. I will have to move my trunk into the garage as there is a potential for large hail.
Next to last night of league bowling tonight. We are only 1 point out of 3rd place!
Happy Thursday!
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Good morning, everyone.
Today is the first day of the landscaping contract and I am so enjoying it! I'm on my patio, drinking coffee and someone else is weeding my beds. After 40 years of yard work this is like a holiday! And they're fast, and thorough. It's awesome.
We are truly into Spring now, with temperatures reaching the mid-teens during the day. I'm off to Home Depot to see if their Garden Centre is open. I need some patio stones to help Dude with getting through the cat door. I think it's too high on one side and he can barely get through as a result. Also getting some creeping thyme to stop weeds in my garden beds. I can plant all of those myself.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good morning everyone,
We're having another lovely day here. I'm off to Pilates and then another trip to Comox for lunch with a Campbell River friend and some shopping. It's a nice drive up the highway on a day like this; the highway is pretty much empty of cars north of Nanaimo so you can just drive and enjoy the scenery and not worry about traffic.
I spent part of the afternoon sitting on my covered patio yesterday. Because the area is heavily treed, there are multitudes of birds. Yesterday I saw Kinglets, Black-capped Chickadees, hummingbirds (Rufus? I wasn't sure as I didn't see the gorget), a Northern Flicker, a Varied Thrush, and of course several Robins, all in my garden in the space of an hour.

Good Friday morning! Back to sweatshirt weather here, so the DDWAB is particularly good this morning, Gerry!
Sounds like a perfect day ahead, hagatha!
Hubby finally has his appointment at the pain management clinic this morning. Will be anxious to hear what the plan is.. He finally did some puttering around out in the garage yesterday mostly because all the sitting and doing nothing is driving him nuts! Luckily he likes to read and has gone through at least 10 or 15 books in the last month, but even that gets old after awhile - especially when you can see so much that needs to be done!
Getting ready for a huge day at the horse rescue tomorrow... it's our Spring Fling fundraiser and we have had as many as 700 people down there if the weather is nice. I'm helping with getting baskets ready for the silent auction. Then I will head down there about 9:30 tomorrow morning to do wagon ride tours. VERY long day!
And, soot, I DID smoke those pins last night!
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Good Morning Connie, soot, hagatha, Draclvr and everyone. As always Wide Awake double dark brew awaits the earlier risers. I've been thinking of MsMercury, Mary, and so sadden by the loss of her soulmate. I hope she finds some comfort from all the prayers and love from her GB friends. Wishing everyone a stress free day. Good morning everyone.
It's another early start for me -- lots of things to get done, like renewing my passport, and my brain won't shut off. Better start on my list!
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
